Which means his low weight is even more worrying. Idols couldn't really afford to be underweight with their activity levels, especially not this underweight. If he was a high school kid with this height and weight the pediatrician would put him on meds to gain like 10-15 kilos. Those numbers are very, very bad, and they're especially bad for someone dancing around all day as a job; at this weight people have slower recovery and more complications with injuries and illness. But tbh it seems he has a sort of classic ballerino body type so if he's getting pumped with nutrients and his weight isn't a result of forced starvation (which isn't uncommon in the idol industry) or an ED it's not as bad as it sounds on paper
Performers are like athletes. They need to eat more than they realize. I bet if they had food ready for before & after each practice it would be helpful for each of them.

People pretending like Felix doesn't have an eating disorder irks me. Like yeah, no, I don't think there's a reason for us to speak about it - as an ED person I know it doesn't help, and can even make it worse to have people worry about one's low weight - but to go and say it's completely fine and healthy for a 24-year-old, relatively tall man to be 56 kg, and for that to be a lot of muscle mass, is just wrong and ridiculously harmful. The guy has straight up told us he's scared of gaining weight, and constantly talk about dieting. Let's be so for real.
Yes. He has mentioned fear of weight gain and that he used to do an ice water diet. Lately tho he has been on Bubble talking about food. He said he isn't going to do diets anymore but will be trying to eat healthier. He said he was trying to eat more but that it is very hard for him to eat enough.
@@contessabillance3096 I'm so happy I saw this today! Fr tho he always mentions it and it really doesn’t help that people act like he doesn’t have an eating disorder and some people say that he’s depressed and that’s why he doesn’t eat like no that not the solution at all it’s ridiculous how people act so stupid!❤
This. Like the way he talks about food is so so telling for someone who has an ED. Like, I know we shouldn’t diagnose people we don’t really know, but be so fr rn. I would be surprised if he DIDN’T have an ED given how high the standards are for idols in Korea.
Yeah that is a full-grown eating disorder and actually could cost him his life. Especially with this job and constant stress and exercise. Have seen people only looking like skeletons because of these kind of things. It's horrible and I hope he gets help.
@@SunnySixStreet it might sound insane and even offensive to us but you need to remember the industry he works in. entertainment industry especially in south korea is brutal when it comes to your weight and honestly i believe most idols have the same fear as felix. it is engrained so deep into their minds from a young age. it's quite awful honestly
56 kg is extremely low for an adult male. Even if he's not that tall. My 13 year old son weighs 46 kgs and he's underweight. And hes way shorter than Felix.
People need to stop commenting on other people’s bodies and weight. Whether it’s meant as an insult, a compliment, or expression on concern. Leave that to the people in his life that can actually help him. If you think someone has an ED the last thing you should be doing is constantly obsessing over their bodies, the main source of their insecurities being scrutinized and watched under a microscope is not going to help them to be more confident or healthy, it will make them keep obsessing if not make them obsess more
Maybe if people didn’t comment on his weight etc then he wouldn’t feel like he has to stay thin. Honestly, he’s a boss no matter what but I hope he gets or stays healthy, because he’s already amazing and has years of amazing stuff to do ahead of him.
I’m glad there wasn’t a negative response. I understand why celebrities, idols, etc don’t like to talk about their weight. Look at it this way, At least he’s healthy and not in the brink of shutting down
I weigh 43kg but I always had problems with my appearance. Seeing Felix, an artist I greatly admire as a person, with the same problems made me realize that the problem was me, not my body. It is a constant fight with our mind. The good thing is that today I'm much better, and I really hope that Felix manages to realize that he has many people who love him just the way he is 🥰🩵
I love that most of us are on the page that we are happy he is at a healthier weight than before, and in general, that fans of K-pop are urging idols and companies to follow healthier standards.
@starfox300 56kg on ~170cm may be a BMI of 19.4, but it is just barely within the range of "normal weight". Meaning, if illness occurs, the body has very little storage of energy to utilise.
@@veronicae2291 wrong, there is not even remotely any danger with this BMI. People have completely misguided views on weight because almost everyone is eating way too much food. Just because it's uncommon doesn't mean it's bad, the vast majority of people is unhealthy
@@starfox300 my opinion in this matter stems from working in healthcare for the past five years, where being mildly overweight is seen as better than being at a lower weight. The body requiers a lot of energy to heal and recover from injury and illness, and sometimes we can feel too ill and too tired to eat, meaning we rely on bodyfat to convert into glucose. While I understand your perspective on the matter, I will not change my opinion. Yes, he can keep up with choreo, and never did I say in my initial comment that I think he is too skinny, I merely commented that I am glad the majority of people are happy to see him at a healthier weight than before. Again, my opinion stems from working in healthcare.
he doesnt? hmm, he always has to me. obviously i assumed he’s just lean, but anyone is lean if they dont eat enough, so i figured it was more than that
Idk Felix always looked the smallest in SKZ. Like very noticeability thinner but lately they've been putting him in wider clothes so you don't see his legs as much so it doesn't feel as obvious.
I know the BMI isn't the most reliable source, but it is actually pretty commonly used to diagnose eating disorders and underweight in general. I calculated it for Felix age, hight and weight and he actually is not underweight. He is pretty low an the "normal" BMI range, but he would actally not be considered dangerously unterweight by a medical standpoint. If his eating habits and the way he is able to maintain this BMI are healthy are written on another paper though.
100% people see 56 kg and freak. The normal or healthy range BMI is between 18.5 kg/m^2 and 25 kg/m^2. It all depends of height to weight ratio and Felix is 171 cm and 56kg. Heck Mingi of Ateez has a worse BMI than Felix with him clocking in at underweight with a score of 17.7kg/m^2, he's the one with an actually unhealthy weight but he get's none of this attention. Also in Ateez Yeosang clocks an 18.6 kg/m^2. There are many more who come in with less than him. We don't know him personally or his eating habit's and trying to diagnose an ED online with literally no basis in fact is MORE dangerous than the supposed ED he is encouraging by existing at 56kg.
I mean, yeah, he could weigh a bit more and it wouldn't hurt him at all, but he’s relatively short, which people seem to be ignoring? his bmi's literally still in the healthy range

For everyone screaming how this is underweight I have done the math for you because people see 56 kg and freak. For anyone out there who is struggling, don't linger on the thought of how much you weigh or if you have muscles. You are more important than that! 💞
All idols have a form of disordered eating and likely have extreme body dysmorphia. It is hammered into them very early to be as skinny and fit as possible. It's truly terrifying, and they will carry these negative feelings toward their bodies for the rest of their lives.

@Stay_Zerose absolutely not. Honestly this is kinda normal for lanky people. I'm like 165 cm and before i put on some muscle, i was around 51 kg. Now, Ive been training for a couple years and finally around 61 kg. I feel this is a healthy bw for him.
He IS VERY slender, but he is NOT skin and bones, he seems to be built of all muscle, and lean muscle burns through fuel with a very high metabolism, which doesn’t let his body add much fat onto his body. He is thin, but seems to be very heathy to me.
If this was true he would weigh a lot more and put on more muscle. He's scared of gaining weight. He talked about dieting over the years. It's not healthy.
whatever you may say, his hormones and psychology being underweight is not good. i was 63kg and 1,73 cm and i wore small in most clothing, worked out almost everyday and walked daily. him being 171 cms and under 60 kg, that's sad.
For US fans, this is roughly 123.5 pounds. And honestly for his age, that’s not terrible for someone with a propensity to be slender to start. My dad was the same way. Very active, very healthy and as he aged he had no problems putting on weight or losing if his health required. Now that’s not to say that he doesn’t necessarily have issues with his relationship with food, but it’s also not indicative of that. As someone who was slender most of my life, ate like crazy and was still called a string bean, I know how frustrating this can be. I’ve always thought it strange for other people to care so much about someone else’s weight. So be very careful what you say to/about other people. You don’t know what they are going through and one wrong word could send them into a spiral.
Felix is lean. Comparing an idol to normal people doesn’t make sense. He’s singing and executing strenuous choreo. He looks beautiful. Muscular. Felix 🔥💫💙🐝
People can be beautiful at any size, that has nothing to do with it. He's very underweight and it's not good for him especially because the job he does because it makes his body more prone to injuries and recovery being worse and longer.

Y’all need to realize that being an idol means you get worked so much. You have to practice 24/7 you rarely get free time. Kpop idols rarely eat because JYPE wants the male and female idols to be skinny. But also I’m pretty sure Felix has a phobia of gaining weight, but he needs to be careful because his bones can break easier since he’s so skinny. I think his back problem he had was from working himself to death and that he rarely eats. People also need to realize if you rarely eat you can lose your appetite. I lost my appetite from it. P.s - I call everyone bb except for my parents but if you think it’s weird just keep that to yourself. But anyways Felix bb if you see this you need to stay safe and healthy because if one day I find out that you are so sick to where you can’t even be an idol, I am going to cry because your the one that changed my life for the better. I found Straykids in 2017 and my bias is Felix and always will be, but in 2020 during quarantine I was depressed, I started to not eat so I lost my appetite now I pick at foods, and I wanted to “off” myself but I told myself if I do that I will never get to experience a Straykids concert and I don’t want to leave Felix. Now in 2024 I do online school and I’m auditioning for JYP next year so I’m excited but nervous. I am also going to a Straykids concert in June and an Aespa in February. I am proud of myself for making it this far. Thank you to the people who read this. ❤

People need to stop commenting on other people’s bodies and weight. Whether it’s meant as an insult, a compliment, or expression on concern. Leave that to the people in his life that can actually help him. If you think someone has an ED the last thing you should be doing is constantly obsessing over their bodies, the main source of their insecurities being scrutinized and watched under a microscope is not going to help them to be more confident or healthy, it will make them keep obsessing if not make them obsess more

why is it a problem if he is 56kg? He is clearly able to perform well in his dancing
It's wild because he didn't look too skinny
he definitely looks pretty skinny, just like the others, except Chan and Changbin. i think they all less than 60(exept Chan n Bin), Hyunjin maybe 60

Heck even in Stray kids he doesn't have the worst BMI Seungmin has an 18.9kg/m^2 which is still a normal weight class. Yet no one screams about him being unhealthy.

As long as he eats healthy and takes in enough calories to cover all the exercise he does, leave him alone he must be a light weight. Lucky him.
Absolutely!!!!!!💓💓😉😚💓👄😚🥞🧍😄
Bro I should probably work out after this😭I gained weight and I keep postponing to work out smh
guys his bmi is literally somewhere near 19 if he is 171cm tall and weighs 56kg. please chill
I think Felix is just naturally lean, and his BMI actually is within the normal range, so he isn’t actually underweight. I’m happy that he’s not dieting anymore, hope him and skz can remain safe and healthy. As well as all idols
He does singing and rlly difficult choreography as a job and he dosnt eat much so its bc of the amount of exercise and not eating which is why he weighs that much, he is getting better with eating tho! :D
Haha, that's exactly my weight! And after meals too!
That is not so bad, really. he's at the bottom of healthy for his height, is what I read. He's okay. He has many people watching out for him, giving him good advice.
Yall im 69kg and hes wayyy less than me. He is clearly struggling. Poor felix, also the bubble messages are scary sometimes. He needs help.❤❤
you should definitely be way less than that
@@starfox300 You don't even know how tall they are? And a 5,7 male, on average, SHOULD be around that weight. That is a healthy weight for a 5,7 male.
@@elistari1050 Im 180cm and weigh 70kg. Gals should NOT be that weight
@elistari1050 thanks for trying to defend. But sadly im a 5'3ft female
@starfox300 back then I actually lied, I was 70kg. But I'm now down to 60kg, I'm losing the weight. Thanks for the motivation! 😁
I'm a 12 y/o girl who is almost 169cm and i weigh around 53kg myself
Omg i hope he is doing alright!!
Hey just want to point out that this actually but's you at a lower BMI than Felix, you are a healthy weight and so is he. People need to stop thinking in absolutes
56 kg is still a normal bmi for asian people, dont compare with other ethnic bmi. An asian male healthy bmi is between 18.5 and 22.9 , Felix bmj is 19.1, he's on the low side, but still considered healthy. I just hope he's happy in his body ❤
Was gonna say. Some people are really freaking out. Yea some of the way he talks about food is unhealthy but he’s my height and weight and I’m still healthy. Plus, I doubt the members would let him get to in his head or into dangerous territory.
Even in european standard he would be in the "normal" range 19-25.
Bro has lover weight than me (60 kg, 162 cm 💀)
Wait same...
Good for you, he still has a healthy BMI so stop judging him
Bro im 162cm and i weigh around 55 kg too 😭💀
Congrats, now you are both at healthy BMI
@Stay_Zerose thanks!
It's borderline. His BMI is on a low, but still healthy Level, but given that he should have more Muscle Mass than average...
A Kilo or two more wouldn't hurt. I'm a U20 Male roughly the same Height an weigh 58kg in Summers.
I weigh 40 kg and i cant ever go above that,i always try but i just cant.😢😢
its ok it depends on your age and height and muscles, 40kg can be very healthy, it depends
Girl, how TALL are you?
@elistari1050 I'm 5'4
Which could well be normal based on your height and age. As a person who is also often told she is underweight, a number on a scale is not an indicator of health. Never let anyone tell you your body is unhealthy unless they are a doctor!
In the last clip you can really see his freckles ❤
Dancing no burns calories a lot but need him to be healthy and strong
True Felix body count in weight was evrn less then then 56 ones
i just hope pookie is healthy and happy
Hope Chan and Changbin can help him stay healthy
cutiee
Commenting on his body so much probably isn't a good thing, and i know that, but i really hope he develops a better relationship with food. There's even a video of him trying to eat some sort of sugary food (i cant remember what it was off the top of my head) and his hands were shaking badly. It might have just been that he was cold or something, but either way, i hope he develops a better relationship with both food, and his body.
Félix você e meu príncipe lindo coreano eu queria estar do teu lado coração solidário ❤
I just wanna know if felix is healthy and safe ❤🤗🦋
Nah bro after he reveled all I could think about is that I can pick up 3 of hi💀
guys while I understand all the worry bout him having an ed u should still keep in mind that every body works differently
(I’m gon take myself as an example) while i might be a coupla years younger than him, I am the same height, do extensive training of 2+ hours at least four times per week (ofc not as extreme as idol training, yet still lots of sport) and am completely healthy at bout 55kg so please don’t jump to conclusions (tho I get it in the context of him fearing gaining weight) but pls especially don’t annoy him cuz of that, it just feels like that’d make him feel bad for making us worried
And he has a healthy BMI which as far as we can reasonably judge as we don't know him or his eating habit's makes him healthy
I’m so sorry to hear… that is the weight of my dog, a husky… poor guy!
i am kind of scared of your human-sized husky now
stepped off the scale and sighed.
I am 178 cm and 52 kgs ... Damn i'm screwed
I am a skinny high-metabolism 5’5 16 year old female teen that works out 3 days a week and does archery and I’m 130lbs. He is extremely skinny.
wow you must be very strong, muscles weigh more than fat anyways
@ Im strong in my core but that’s about it lol. 😹 I’m pushing noodle arms
@@octane1713 same,, my little sister was lifting weights today and i couldnt even move it a tiny bit. so humbling
Good for you, he has a healthy BMI tho. People see 56 kg and freak. The normal or healthy range BMI is between 18.5 kg/m^2 and 25 kg/m^2. It all depends of height to weight ratio and Felix is 171 cm and 56kg.
The calculation for a 24 year old male, of 171 cm and 56kg is a 19.2 kg/m^2. Definitely in the healthy range, even if it's on the lower end. Felix is not underweight! Heck even in Stray kids he doesn't have the worst BMI Seungmin has an 18.9kg/m^2 which is still a normal weight class. Yet no one screams about him being unhealthy.
For Comparison. Yeonjun (TXT) has a lower score at 18.7 kg/m^2. Which is still in the normal range. If only just.
@@Stay_Zerose wait is 16 bmi unhealthy??
I cant believe they made someone who is literally afraid of gaining weight go on a show where the hosts guess his weight like that must have been so uncomfortable for him wtf
He si cute and adorable 🥰🥰🥰
I can’t believe I weighed the same as him and I’m a teen.
