They cancelled it bc Alex o'loughlin couldn't go through another season. They actually had plans for season 11 with Adam and a different scene that was deleted that would have lead into season 11. They even thought about bringing in a new lead or asking Scott Caan. But in the end they decided that it had to end with Alex (Steve) it was the right call. The show started with steve it had to end with steve. If you watch the show from start to finish you'll see the reason why Alex left. You notice a big decline in action and especially in season 10. You'll notice esp in season 10 compared to season 1 a big decline in scenes for Alex and the shift in how the episode was written. You'll notice that episodes had steve having days off which were not in any of the earlier seasons generally when he had a day off his phone would ring and he'd have to go. You'll notice as well weight changes in Alex especially in season 2. This show Alex put everything he had into it which actually cost him big time. The list of injuries A series back injury ( which never went away) season 1 Torn tendons in both shoulders ( which he was put on extremely strong pain meds which caused him to become addicted to) Wrist injuries on both wrists Torn knee Herniated desk in his neck He had more injuries than most footballers get. If a footballer had received all of those injuries that would have spelled the end for them. Anyways I myself wish that he could have gone on that he didn't have any of those injuries. But I understand his decision he made he chose his kids his wife and his future grandchildren over a TV show. Here in Australia our jobs/careers are very important but they never come 1st family always comes 1st careers come maybe 3rd
I was the same when I 1st pple pronounce it with a V instead of a W. I actually looked it up and yes it is correct you pronounce it with a V not a W. Most Hawaiian words that have W in it are pronounced with a V instead of a W sound
