Great series. The building of the CPR was one of the most significant events in Canadian history. It drew a line in the sand and kept American expansion from coming north. It joined east and west physically and symbolically. A mammoth task. A proud Canadian accomplishment. 🚂

It’s Kor! 🖖🏼😉 John Colicos was an amazing, powerful actor.
KOR and William CORnelius Van Horne, it figures! It took the strength of a Klingon to get the CPR built.
23:10 The track building scenes are an amazing and accurate recreation.

Have you noticed that it was almost always Canadians who played 'captains' in outer space; Shatner, Greene, Colicos, Plummer, Nielsen.

@@bobjohnson205 Indeed! You forgot to add Geneviève Bujold.
That’s ok, everyone on Voyager would like you to forget the original captain Janeway too. 😜

I like that. They "gave" Crowfoot more land. Gave him what was already his. Then again, given the nature of the people at the time, I suppose they could have been jerks about it and done something more like what Mr. Berton just said and gone on to something like another Little Bighorn or Wounded Knee, and thankfully that was avoided. I'd like to think in the long run it benefitted everyone. Here we all are, after all.

    10:15 - In 1882, Van Horne's income exceeds mine in 2024.
