Hello, if you feel you need humidity added (water attached), you will need to reach out to your home medical equipment provider (if it isn't us) and they can attach it. It does not come with it. For the DeVilibiss 5l the The external filter/cabinet should be replaced by the patient.

That's not enough information. Do a total cleaning inside.
