We're in Thailand now for our 11 year wedding anniversary! Before we went, though, we had to pack, and so we're going to show you what we pack in our check in luggage. It's taken us a while to learn what we need as travelers, and I think we've finally got it down! Some of this might seem excessive to you, but hopefully you find something here of use for your future travels.
Thank you to Audible for sponsoring this video. Martina’s going to be listening to her audiobook today by the beach. Yes we read books when celebrating our anniversaries. Once a nerd, always a nerd :D

Jennifer Holloway no,it's a vibrator 😆
you could get it from Muji
This is what I imagine marriage should be like. Not just for the fun parts like traveling to new places and having the local delicacies. But for the non-fun part like when there's challenges which make it difficult to even get out of the house or smile. But you always know they have your back. And you theirs. It's what makes me come back to your channel and just appreciate that marriage needs much more than just fixed plans and bank accounts and basic attractions. It needs effort. Just like my parents' marriage and they've been married 26 years now. So... I love you guys! And happy anniversary!
-Just a random follower
Y'all had be choking for air halfway through the video with the "became old" scenes and Martina's copious amount of anti diarrhea meds and laxative tea😂😂😂
Y'all I went to Asia and like forgot period products. Tampons were nearly impossible to find. So please remember to plan ahead and to pack just in case!!! Doesn't matter what location actually... I've learned the hard way, always be prepared!
MC I had to buy some tampons in Madrid.... My Spanish is weak and I had to ask for some from the elderly man behind the pharmacy counter. I had forgotten all about that challenge until I read your comment!
I had this happen when I was going to visit the Vatican when I was 14. It was incredibly hard to both find a pharmacy, as one that sold any type of pad. They only sold tampons that were jumbo size. Like fuck me up fam imma nope out of that thx sorry.
My period gets delayed when I go overseas, fun to know my period schedule gets messy when that happens.
Just so people know, pads are still easily found in most Asian countries, (Japan, Singapore, Taiwan, Malaysia etc) so don't despair too much-- its just tampons that are less popular in Asia, so if you prefer tampons absolutely keep some handy. However in some 3rd world, pads can be hard to find too. And in some European countries, there is sometimes the opposite problem.
We’re in Thailand now for our 11 year wedding anniversary. Before we left, though, we had to pack. Here’s what we pack in our luggage!
Simon and Martina Happy anniversary guise! 😍
happy anniversary ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Simon and Martina damn I remember it being ur 10th anniversary feeling like just yesterday and now it's the 11th 😭😭😭 congrats!!
Simon and Martina happy anniversary!!
Simon and Martina happy anniversary guys~!!! Enjoy your vacation there in Thailand!
Not related to video, and I'm not sure you'll read.
I left my boyfriend of almost 2 years because of this channel. You two's love for each other, just damn. He acted like he really didn't care about me or even care if we were together (spoiler; he apparently didn't care either way). Watching you through the last few years was a joy, but I felt so lonely irl when done. I realized I shouldn't feel that way, something was wrong. Living a 'love life' vicariously through you made me feel even lonelier later on. I was slipping into a pretty dark mental state due to it.
BUT. I left him. Clean, mutual split prompted by me.
My life has been 10/10 better. I found someone who cares for me (has deeply for over a year now, I'm apparently oblivious). Someone who loves me and accepts me for who I am - including that I'm nowhere near ready for the L-word, but gently reminds me that I'm loved occasionally so I don't fear they 'changed their mind'. I got a person who treats me like Simon treats Martina. When I realized that, just... I'mma cry a little. It's so hard to describe how I feel with this person, and how they MAKE me feel.
Thank you.
I died laughing at Simon’s sleep naked argument because I hear the same thing from my husband all the time. Comfy PJs are KEY.
Erin Michelle I feel like there are like multiple factors for me that would make me change my mind either way. Is the location hella warm, or chilly? Does the hotel/space look clean? Obviously are there other people besides you and/or your significant other sharif a room?
Simon: *Makes fun of Martina for having travel Pyjamas*
Also Simon: *Has travel underwear*
I can't say anything else besides: I love you guys. A lot. :)
I'm so proud of you two, you are doing sponsored videos SO WELL. SO. WELL.
HAVE FUN IN THAILAND !!!!
I died laughing again from the flashback of Simon forgetting to pack underwear when you moved😂 also he definitely deserved a slap for not know who Will Wheaten is, TNG for life! 🖖
Ah Pepto, my rosy hued mistress. I never thought about packing a travel med kit, but it's a great idea I'm definitely using on my next vacation! I personally can never go on any long excursion without my earbuds because music is life and sometimes it helps to occupy your own little world during long ass car rides. This video was super informative and fun, you guys are the best!
Bunny Englewm Rosy hued mistress. I died XD
I have celiac disease and I travel. It's easy when I visit family because most of them have celiac too. But I always have immodium and candied ginger and luna bars with me where ever I go. On a plane I bring a sack lunch. That way I know I have food and if I get inadvertently exposed to gluten It's uncomfortable but they won't have to divert my flight.
If you are taking medication overseas, make sure you check that the medication you are taking is actually legal in the country you are going to. Some things you can buy over the counter in one country is illegal in another and you could end up being arrested.
i love you guys ive been watching u since i was like 16 or 17 ... im 25 now , i'll love u forever and support u forever xxx
Thank you for the amazing content. Thank you for being such a great face for mental health. Thank you for making me laugh when I'm tired. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
- A simple potate, awaiting for a better day tomorrow.
*see's spudgy in the backround👀*
*cries*
Happy Anniversary to my fellow Torontians !
Love you guys so much !! ♥
"became old"
NO I REFUSE TO BELIEVE IT
they're in their mid-30s
I always over pack, I don't know how it happens but I always think I need backup outfits and backup everythings 😂
Yes! A tiny medical kit is so important! I've started even packing some cold meds because last year, every where we went, I ended up with cold. And its not fun to try & find cold meds when everything is in a different language!
My travel bag also always includes tissues (airplanes often give me bloody noses D; ), travel toilet paper rolls (these have saved my live in many a public restroom), and snacks.
Martina what's in your makeup travel kit?
TheRealSala ikr I hope she will put up a video on open the happy.
Hope so too!
Video please
She did an old one but I think she keeps it somewhat the same :)
My grandma has gotten me used to wearing slippers around the house (mainly because her floor is cold) since I was like 9. Now at 18 I don't walk around the apartment without them or socks (or both because sometimes socks don't give me comfort)
WHAT'S IN MY TRAVEL BAG?!!! WELL.. MINES IS SADLY NOTHING... LIKE MAYBE A FEW CRUMBS BECAUSE I HAVEN'T LEFT MY HOME IN YEARS...... RIP
I hope one day you get the chance to travel. Maybe Japan :D
Simon and Martina I hope so too! I love Japan! That's definitely on my top two places to visit. I have family there. :)
SAME
Lmao right ? I don't even have enough gas in my car to get to work the rest of the week 😂🔫
Jennifer Villarreal Right!!! LOL
Awwwwww. Spudgy. It's the first old video I've seen since he went to the rainbow bridge ♡ sweet pupper memories
HAPPY 11 YEAR ANNIVERSARY TO YOU TWO
You guys are so funny 😂😂 Also, happy anniversary!!!
I'm working at the cat café right now so I'll watch this when I'm home. Hope you two are having a fantastic anniversary in Thailand ♥♥
you work at a cat cafe??? That sounds like one of the best jobs ever!!! I actually adopted one of my cats from a cat cafe :)
GhostGirlCam That's fantastic! I love working here, am literally getting paid to pet cats!
I found yew :3
815kitty Ew go away >:^(
Sassy Dumpling no more tea for u i guess
Congratulations on 11 years of happy marriage, hope you have an amazing time in Thailand. Love you guys ❤️
HAVE FUN FOR YOUR ANNIVERSARY. LOVE YOU GUYS ❤️
We’re having a great time so far!
This is why I love Simon and Martina cause no matter what they do their personalities are so awesome and their so entertaining they could make a video about watching paint dry and I'd still watch it cause they are just so pleasant to watch! Just love them!
Just pressed play. I'm expecting shower caps :)
Ha! That’s not in this video :D
Thoroughly disappointed
😝😝😝
Brilliant vid guys, love it
I always pack nausea medicine and diarrhea medicine ever since my cousin came down with the pooters at the worst time during vacation and now I get paranoid of it happening to me. I also keep a decent sized pill bottle with clearly labeled otc medicine. Like Tylenol, ibuprofen, benadryl, tums, migraine pills, etc mixed together just to keep on me just in case. These pills are mixed together but I buy the ones that actually have the name written on the pill so there's no confusion at all
That mini bar kit is so cute 😆 I want one
Martina is such an adorable person. You guys always brighten my day even when talking about something that should be mundane like packing tips. Your enthusiasm makes everything fun and interesting.
omg simon your cable box.. oh my god i never thought of having a separate box.. I always end up losing my wires and such.. MY GOD. I MUST DO THAT.
where has this video been in my whole life of traveling...
YES! This is my first time using it and it’s a blessing! I used to have this hard cardboard thing covered in elastics for my cables (hard to describe) and my cables kept falling out. Fuuuuck that. Now I’ve got this all neat and organized and in one spot. I literally opened up my luggage, grabbed that bag, and never had to worry about rummaging in the luggage for any more :D
HELL YEAH. I travel with my parents too, so they got wires up the wazoo so I always end up taking care of like wires, and electronics and they're all tangled and such... my god my mind has been blown.
Like I honestly feel that that section of the video may have been one of the more helpful, at least for me anyway. It's a whole new ball game when you take that tip in mind.
Hahaha I have IBS, hip dysplasia, POTS and EDS. I need alllllll of that hahaha. And yes my husband sleeps naked so same. Before I leave my house on a bad day it's my Imodium, ibuprofen, phone chargers, and such. I drink coffee inorder to go in the morning if it's an issue and I take a probiotic every day. It's awesome and makes my tummy happy for the rest of the day Hahaha
Okay guys, just tossing this out there: slippers do not equate old. My 21 (near 22) Canadian self wears slippers all day err'day around the house. No matter the season, floors can be damn cold in Maple Land. Besides, they can be hecking cute if you find the right ones- my main pair are super poofy bunnies with blood around their mouths. 10/10 would wear at all times.
(P.S. Don't listen to Simon, Martina, I'm with you- pajamas are wonderful! Always travel with some!)
This video just arrive on time (literally) for my trip to South Korea. 🤣 Like I was just sitting on the floor watching my suitcase, cuz I didn't know what to put in.
Holy smokes, this IS perfect timing!
That's hilarious
This reminds me of my dad, who has traveled a lot by train or airplane for business ever since I can remember. He would pack a readymade suitcase that he would keep in the closet for such occasions. Sometimes, I've come across it while I've been cleaning out stuff to give to goodwill. In it is set of gym clothes for working out in the hotel's gym; three or four pairs of socks; two or three shirts; a belt; a set of loafers; a pair of sneakers (for the gym); four or five pairs of underwear; a change of pants; a couple of ties; and a toiletry kit.... oh, and sometimes a crossword puzzle or Sudoku book. He can fit all of this in a small suitcase with no trouble.
A great video guys! Very very useful and informative. Enjoy your vacation too! 👍👍👍
The 'Stand Up Please' Shirt!!!
Ah! I’m assuming you heard our podcast. Yay!
Simon and Martina Yes!! And I love every bit of it!! Your podcast makes me feel good and happy 💕 You guys are amazing!! ☺💑
I literally just missed my flight and couldn’t stop crying I am so happy that you all have a video for me to look forward too. Thankyou so much 😭 💖
Brittany Villella OMG that sucks! Hope your feeling better!
TheRealSala thankyou so much that’s so sweet of you 💖
Congrats on 11 years guys!!!!! You are seriously GOALS!!!!!!
Ah. I love the transitions and look at the Spudge! Also, those are adorable bags.
Love, love, love, Ready Player One! Listening to it for the fourth time. Audible forever! The Martian is also fabulous!
I don't recommend sleeping naked in a hotel, you don't know how dirty those sheets can be.
Tea With Tams as a housekeeper, the sheets are often the cleanest part. I cringe when people bring sheets and keep the hotel blankets. Bring blankets and comforters if you can and keep the sheets
Tea With Tams yup. Ive worked in hotels before...they're not the cleanest.
I've worked in a hotel too as a cleaner and we always changed fresh sheets and towels. I wouldn't touch the pillows, comforters or coverlets, they're not washed unless they're really dirty...
I checked in two days ago and saw drops of blood on my sheet!
Yet, those who do are still alive and are okay. There are worse things out there.
I love it that I don't even need any of these tips, but you guys just make such a video so fun that I'm just watching it for you're personalities
Also, NOTIFICATION SQUAD! What’s one thing you can’t travel without?
Simon and Martina cannot travel without my throw blanket 😍😍💖👌🏼
Simon and Martina My Nintendo Switch I can't leave without it. I need entertainment!
My Thermos Water Mug ._.
Insulated water bottle!!! And my neck pillow 🙈🙈
My kitty pillow to hug while I sleep.
I always travel with my pajamas too. You are not alone Martina.
Please never stop making videos I’m a fairly new subscriber but your videos help me with my anxiety and stress in a weird way ❤️ watching you guys is relaxing
I love how nerdy you guys get about packing! Legit! Have fun in Thailand and Happy Anniversary! :D xoxo
Ahhh the slippers! I too recently (got old) started packing slippers. It is the best! No weird unanticipated floor environments any more!
yay!! i was having a not great day. thanks for making it better!!
love you both and always praying for you guys!! ♥️
As someone who also travels very often (nearly 10x/yr), I'm glad that you shared very practical tips that are not the typical hack-y advice that's not very helpful. Y'all are giving me ideas to pack my "home" with me wherever I go!
Happy Anniversary guys.😁 Loved all the helpful tips. One thing that I always bring when traveling is 2-3 extra days worth of my daily meds just in case something happens. Like getting stuck over night in an airport, because you missed your flight, because you decided last minute that you needed a giant lolly pop from Disney World and, and...I mean. Ahem, yeah that was super fun (she says sarcastically). My husband and I slept, or at least tried to sleep on the airports floor. Did you guys know that those public services announcements are made 24/7, even when the airport is techincally closed, because guess what--they do.😣😅😴
The cable kit with all of the perfectly folded cables is so satisfying 😍
Meemers is such a lazy kitty omg. My cats would have never just let me do that.
THANK YOU!
My husband and I may be visiting Japan for the first time together. It'll be my first time in Japan and I'm so excited. I've been wanting to go ever since I was a child.
The logistics were overwhelming me though so this is AMAZING timing! Also, Martina, your accent is glorious.
Australia’s biggest fail is that we don’t have Pepto :( so whenever someone goes over to the US, I ask them to bring me back a few bottles. And I’ve recently started travelling with a comfy shirt and track pants that I change into on the plane so I don’t have to sit in uncomfortable pants (or a bra lol) for 10+ hours. And that has been the best decision I ever made. Seriously, BYO PJs for the aeroplane!
isn't it just mylanta?
Go for Gaviscon (imo Dual Action is the best) for me, it works way better than Pepto, is much faster and completely relieves my upset tummy/nausea. (Source: Am Australian but lived in the US, gets many tummy upsets and cyclic vomiting syndrome).
YES MARTINA it is so refreshing to hear that someone else relates to my stomach troubles! It is always stressful when traveling because I'm constantly worried about eating or drinking something that will make me feel sick (which happens more often than not even though I love all food and want to eat it all). Inspiring to hear that you can get through it, so I should be able to as well! Although I did notice while living in London and traveling in Europe the food was much nicer to my stomach than in the States... hmmm....
Thanks for the tips guise, I am travelling for 7 weeks in September so I’m trying to go minimal, which means my camera equipment is being cut back this time round.
This is the most minimal we’ve ever packed, for this trip, electronics wise, and it’s amazing! We didn’t bring our laptops, didn’t bring our audio gear and camera luggage. Just an iPad, a camera for each of us, and our Jambox for music :D
Simon and Martina wished I could leave my laptop at home! Unfortunately in my 7 weeks away I have to finish my thesis off so it’s got to come with me.
I’m going for just what I can fit into a 65L pack, which will most likely be a few days worth of clothes and two pairs of shoes and a coat.
I can’t wait to be back in Japan this year for the rugby and also seeing more of Japan that I didn’t see last year!
I felt Martina's shock and rage at Simon's lack of nerd... Love you Martina, stay strong. Stay strong.
Also, I agree with the pillow situation. My neck will become the devil if I don't use specific pillows....I ALWAYS bring my own lol even when visiting my folks
I love the slight "Intoxication" reference during the pajama part.
Glad you caught it! Also...that music clip was made by Martina as a knock off Junsu track 😂
I know you guys did this video a while ago but I’m just now binge watching a lot of your stuff and I love you guys so much, I don’t travel a lot because I get tummy issues constantly so I’m glad to see I’m not the only one that has that problem, I love trying new foods but they don’t always love me back.
Killing me when Simon forgot to pack his underwear.
KkitKkat it was so funny I was literally crying laughing when they first moved and that happened
i've missed you guys so much. happy anniversary!!! we're all celebrating with you guys!
Not enough anti diarrhea meds. I whole a whole pack in the bottom of my carryon.
Diiiiiiiaaaaarrrheaaaaaa.
Hana J does diarrhea serve a good purpose or not really?
lol I read this like how they say it in Invader Zim :D
Martina's dodgy tummy :(
Loooooove this video. Thank you for all of the tips and tricks! The electronics kit that has everything and you never need to pack or unpack - INSPIRED✨
I’m always wearing my pajamas 🤫
You 2 remind me of myself when it comes to reading. I'm old school and used to have an extensive paperback collection. It was years before I finally got with the times and started reading ebooks. Now, just as you have, I have recently gotten into using Audible and I love it! Audio books have been around forever in cassette and cd format, but the Audible app is just awesome 👍
Lol omg I remember the Simon underwear incident 😅
My big happy moment during this video was the background music I started singing along to.
🎶Eeee Ooooo Eeee Nuuoooo🎶
Also, shout-out to Traditional Medicinals. I love those teas.
Me too! I have given them away to so many people like a grandmother with traditional cures Hahahaha
So many things I want to comment on um: I like the "tagging in" transitions is was very appealing to watch. Throat coat tea is literally one of my favorites I drink it whenever I get a cold or my allergies get bad (My allergies are always bad). Also my stomach gets upset whenever I travel so I understand your pain Martina. Oh and awesome shorts Simon!
The cats at the cat cafe say hello!
Wait, are you there now?!
I am!!
Ah, Martina told me about the inside joke you two have. I understand now :D I’m glad you made it through the Catapocalypse :D
Simon and Martina I'LL MAKE AN INSTA STORY FOR YOU TWO TO SEE
😺😸
oh, thanks you so much for this video! I'm from Kyiv (Ukraine) and I've been watching you for 5 years, but now I start to travel and this really helped me. Cheers!
Aww little Spudgie, I love seeing him in your videos, please give him a big kiss from me!
Love
Ophelia ❤️ p.s. happiest of anniversaries to you both, you’re an amazing couple!
Isn't he just the best pupper ever. Such a strong majestic lil boi.
Jay Hensel7 he really is!
It's 4 am here and I just finished a very challenging project. I didn't think I'd smile now, but you guys made me laugh out loud to myself and I'm so happy! Thank you so much for your positivity and humor. Also, I love the tips! I seem to be similar to Martina with different kinds of issues and needs while traveling. Enjoy your anniversary and Thailand guys! Sending lots of love from Poland! Now I can go to sleep happy :)
Awwwwwwwwwwww Mr. Rogersssss!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Other travel vloggers: the minimal lifestyle, everything I own is in this backpack, no checked suitcase
Simon and Martina: here are our pillows, soundbox and knife sharpener
:D
Love you guys!
Don’t worry Martina, my entire family always packs pjs to travel 😂😂
When we stayed at a place on holiday the knives were so fricking blunt. They didn't have a knife sharpener but they did have mugs made in Thailand. When I was growing up we would use those to quickly sharpen knives all the time. 5 minutes later, all the knives were sharp. Probably should have given the cleaners a heads up...
Nice shirt you got there, Simon. I wonder what the story behind it is /wink wink/
Except I listened to your podcast so ofc I know but everyone else reading this should go check it out!
showmeanotheruniverse could you just explain?
It’s very interesting to see how people pack. Especially interesting the difference between those who check and those who only carry-on.
Guys, you are A-MA-ZING and so this ULTIMATE PACKING GUIDE! Wow!!!!! You rock!!!!!!
I was watching and all the time saying to myself "whaaaaaat?!!! does this exist and I didn't know or have never ever seen it before. or OMG!OMG!OMG!". hahahhahahahha
This is, for real, the Ultimate guide and the best One!!!
Willing to have of one of this whole luggage with those special and lovely kits!!!! Give-them-away for us, please!!! hahahahaha
I love your videos and podcasts!!! =DD thank you so much!! best regards!
p.s.: you can use some kind of hanger as a corkscrew to open wine bottle. not all the time. not all kind of hangers. but in general, it works =) and Yes, I love pijamas! hi5, Martina! hahaha
Omg Martina it’s so nice to hear someone else has stomach issues too. I’ve always been afraid of traveling due to frequent nausea and not having nausea medication on hand. I love that you still travel despite. I would be too afraid of being that far from home
Now I really need to listen to Ready Player One!
Mansuetum Historicus it’s been great so far!
I live in Oklahoma City, so I really should get on reading that.
It’s really good. If you are into video games/ video game culture, you’ll enjoy it EVEN MORE
Good stuff
I'm so glad y'all just posted this! I'm leaving in a week to visit China for a month and I always get really anxious about what to pack. This was so helpful!
Y'all on that late train with the audible promo, but just for you guys I might actually use your promo code. 😂
Been watching you for years. Enjoying the Korea videos and Japan videos. Now I’m going to Korea for work for a month. So thank you again as I go back through all of these videos for travel and Korea knowledge guys! Have a wonderful Poland trip!
The 'became old' jump cut made me laugh so fricken loud in the middle of the night. Thanks for making my crappy day better this video was so hilarious x
I hope you experience the "interesting" side of Thailand and do a segment on that! Is Spudgy okay? Looks like he had a little shaved spot on his back like where he had a boo boo. Have a great trip!
Mary Elmore I know he had surgery on Christmas, I think it was on his spine cause he was having trouble standing and walking, and I think they said cause of a different condition he has the hair either doesn't grow back or will just very very slowly. He also just had a oral surgery done. Sorry this is a lot of eh I thinks but like ya, from what they have said and their insta it looks like he is doing better.
Jay, thanks for the info! My phone is so old that I can't install Instagram and I'm admittedly not great about keeping up with info through the various social media outlets. Glad to know Spudgy is on the mend!
The one thing I can’t travel anywhere without: Refresh Eye Drops! Since LASIK my eyes dry out soooo quickly 😳 ::colors in whites of eyes with red marker::
Anyway, I wish you both many, many more years of love, happy travels & delicious food! SPUDGY 😍💖💖💖
Look at that spudgy
Edit* we miss you buddy
Hell to the yes with the hand warmer! I, too, have EDS. Hand warmers work in a pinch for sore muscles and cold hands!!
Just in case no one has already commented, I think it's called an atomizer? :D Could be wrong. Excellent vid as always. Great travel tips.
We’re definitely not too popular to read everyone’s comments, and we do read them all. It’s just impossible for us to answer them all, but we try out best :D
No no no!!. You're too popular for me to read through them all lol!! There's like a gazillion and it would take me so long to see if someone had already mentioned it ha.
Martina has such an infectious laugh and smile I was smiling the entire time
Martina, your a god! Travel PJ´s would have saved me and my mom in Mexico! December and being on a mountain turned out to be so so so very cold. We had to sleep in our clothes not to freeze!
Hey Simon and Martina, if you ever forget your travel knife sharpener, you can also sharpen knives on the bottom of ceramic/china dinnerware! Maybe not so much on cups or plates but it works really well on bowls. My grandma's been doing this since her grandma taught her so this is seriously a certified method.
Question regarding books: have you guys got into any Japanese literature ( obs not in Japanese)?
Im a huge fan of Japanese lit. I'd recommend Higuchi Ichiyo's Takekurabe or any of Dazai's work or Yellow Rose by Yoshiya Nobuko. The ebook is the only verison of it available. Unfortunately I dont use audiobooks (i just zone out) so I'm not sure whats available.
I’m a fan of Murakami. I read 1Q84, Norwegian Wood, Kafka on the Shore, and the colourless life book whose title I can’t remember. I’m just about to read a different author now whose name I can’t remember, but she wrote a book about Convenience store girls.
Simon and Martina
Murakami's such a great Japanese writer, and he's books are so accessible. Im lucky because Im still a uni student so we have decent sized Japanese section in the library.
Also I think the convenience store girl book that you dont remember is probably Sayaka's "Convenience Store Women." I havent read it myself but I follow the Akutagawa prize so I've been meaning to get to it.
Eiji Yoshikawa also has great books!
