- While on the road Tour Managing Stephen Pearcy, we ended up having our flights cancelled and stranded for 2 night in Long Island, New York. Suddenly having this new found free time on my hands I met up with some old friends & took a True Crime tour. Some of the locations visited included the real Amityville Horror house, Amy Fisher’s former home & the site of the Joey & Mary Jo Buttafuoco infamous home.

Lived in Long Island in the 80's. Worked in Amityville. I remember when they were talking about moving the house as the tourists were just driving the neighbors crazy. I also remember when they painted it orange and white striped. I guess to make it look not so scary? lol I think they messed up changing the window eyes at the top of it. Great video!
Catching the replay, I believe Amy Fisher was referred to as the Long Island Lolita back in the day. Loved seeing the Amityville Horror House 🏠. The 1979 movie with James Brolin is a classic. Have a good 👍 night Jason. 🤘

I enjoy seeing these infamous spots and hearing some of the stories around them. I read The Amityville Horror when I was 10 and it scared the crap out of me. Now I think it probably is not a haunted house considering how many people have lived there since. Not sure I would want to stay there by myself overnight alone though!

Hey Jason! My mothers side of the family is from Garden City, Long Island. My mom actually went to school with Richie Canata (sp?), the saxopohonist guy from Billy Joel's band in the 70's/ 80's.

Long islander here….go past the horror house all the time, love all American burger , love Ratt, and was on line at a local amusement park adventure land with Amy and her son with my own child by chance in early 2000s..
Despite circumstances and difficulties you certainly turned it into a big positive! Truly enjoyed this episode Jason!
