Happy Easter, Paul! Nice shave as always. I wondered about the Feather Adjustable, so it was interesting seeing it put to work. I agree that, aesthetically, it's not the nicest looking - and I think I'd want more than two settings. So thanks for taking the bullet for us! Had my Easter eggs over easy with bacon, sausage and toast. Will be having a pork blade steak on the charcoal barbecue with rice and salad for supper. SOTD: American Crew pre-shave oil Fendrihan European shave cream (sample) Razorock Bruce brush and Razorock shave bowl Global Shave Club JFK Edition Replitech with Astra SP (4th) Post: alum; American Crew tonic; Clubman Pinaud splash. The Fendrihan samples smell nice and lather well, but aren't all that slick - hence the pre-shave oil. All in all, a nice shave and easy BBS.

Looks like that soap needs to be loaded much more in the brush, I know others that are similar. All in all a satisfactory shave it seemed. Floid, always a pleasure. Happy Easter Mr. and Mrs H! Outstanding Easter flower dislay; thank you Mrs. H. Those Feather razor handles are not inexpensive; even the lower cost ones take a bit of financing. I think they are good quality, but the value isn't really there. The top of the line Feather razor is the AS-D2. All Stainless construction. Well made. Again, the value isn't really there. SOTD: Muhle R95 Rocca razor loaded with a 1960's made in England Korvettes Super Stainless blade (3rd use). Cella Red (Kilo brick) bowl lathered with the Graydog Spalted Maple 26 mm synthetic brush. Finished with Thayer's AF SF skin toner and 1946 Old Spice aftershave. Paul, one must accept those mild weepers with Feather blades. It is my opinion the first shave on a Hi-Stainless is the roughest (most blood). I must say that your face looks smooth as marble. Enjoy your holiday! Stay safe and take care please.

Observation time(not a criticism): I've noticed that when a shaving soap "dissipates" it simply loses a certain level of visual "soapiness" but if touched with the hand/fingers; a noticeable level of stickiness is present. If a wet blade is then applied it shaves/cushions just the same as if it was a Santa's Beard. I found that if a spray of water is applied to dissipated lather; it does not necessarily blossom in a lathery plume but it still maintains its slipperiness and is easily shaveable; the whole upshot of the comment being, dissipation is not necessarily negative. ;-)

My SOTD is gonna be the Gillette Tech head on the King C Gillette handle with a 3rd use Gillette Platinum blade, Omega 10066 brush, Wholly Kaw Sandhurst and the Gillette Aftershave Lotion. For approximately $54, a Parker Variant, Merkur Progress, Rockwell 6C and a vintage Gillette Fatboy or Slim or Black Beauty would be a better investment in that price range. I don’t have an adjustable, but I have to carefully think about how will the one I’m buying turn out to be in terms of quality and performance

Tempted to save up for the 3one6, be nice to pass that down to my lad when he's older, only live down the r from Sheffield, went to uni there 👍

There's no way I was going to pay that much for it when there are far better razors out there for the money. Yes £15 max is what I thought. Amazon is currently showing this razor for about $40 (U.S. Dollars), a better price than found in the amazon link you gave, showing the equivalent of about $59. The pricing possibly has changed, or depends on the exact supplier, or depends on the region.
Yeah had i reviewed that razor i would have been most agreeable with you. I have that as well and it does get the job done as any very average razor but is a far cry from what i hoped for. I only got it for the butterfly opening but the quality is sub-par!

Hello, Paul, on setting one this razor shaves like a Feather Popular razor but on setting two this razor is aggressive, in INDIA I purchased this for Rs 2300/- i.e roughly 23 British Pounds 👍👍👍
Happy Easter to you and Mrs. H! Think I’d have to pass on both the razor and the soap in today’s shave. The razor is way over priced for what it is, and the soap I could watch it literally disappearing on your face as you shaved. My Easter MOTD is baked honey glazed ham with a wee bit of a kick. I put just enough habanero pepper powder in the glaze to leave not so much a burn but more like a warm glow in the mouth. There will also be green beans, mashed potatoes, and fresh baked bread to complete our table. Take care.
The difference between the black and yellow package is not how many are in there! The difference is that the black are made for Japanese market. The yellows are for foreign market!
I have the Feather popular and based on the low quality of that razor I would not buy their overpriced adjustable version, there are far better adjustable razors available in the same price range, like Rockwell 6c or Merkur progress or VikingBlade adjustables or even Weishi adjustable. Keep safe mate.
All butterfly razors tend to be rattly. Apart from the quality of the materials used V price, the razor gives a good shave. BTW. The plastics used seem to be of the high impact variety. I've got one, I like it.

Yeah had i reviewed that razor i would have been most agreeable with you. I have that as well and it does get the job done as any very average razor but is a far cry from what i hoped for. I only got it for the butterfly opening but the quality is sub-par!

Hello, Paul, on setting one this razor shaves like a Feather Popular razor but on setting two this razor is aggressive, in INDIA I purchased this for Rs 2300/- i.e roughly 23 British Pounds 👍👍👍

Happy Easter to you and Mrs. H! Think I’d have to pass on both the razor and the soap in today’s shave. The razor is way over priced for what it is, and the soap I could watch it literally disappearing on your face as you shaved. My Easter MOTD is baked honey glazed ham with a wee bit of a kick. I put just enough habanero pepper powder in the glaze to leave not so much a burn but more like a warm glow in the mouth. There will also be green beans, mashed potatoes, and fresh baked bread to complete our table. Take care.

In the black box like yours there are 5 blades and in the yellow one there are 10 blades. That the only difference between them.

The difference between the black and yellow package is not how many are in there! The difference is that the black are made for Japanese market. The yellows are for foreign market!

I have the Feather popular and based on the low quality of that razor I would not buy their overpriced adjustable version, there are far better adjustable razors available in the same price range, like Rockwell 6c or Merkur progress or VikingBlade adjustables or even Weishi adjustable. The rattling will be the rotating knob, fnar, as with the Popular. It doesn’t affect anything

All butterfly razors tend to be rattly. Apart from the quality of the materials used V price, the razor gives a good shave. BTW. The plastics used seem to be of the high impact variety. I've got one, I like it.
