Actually that's an extremely toxic mindset to even have🤓👆👆👆👆 I think that you should be able to enjoy things even if what you are half-assing whatever you are doing at the end of the day as long as it makes you happy and alive and makes you feel something then you should go for it. There is absolutely no need for someone to dedicate all their time and energy just to not half ass things. It's okay to half ass things and to not take what you do seriously to the point your life solely revolves around that one thing. It's much better to have fun in life and to just go with the flow, thinking about things like "If I don't do this or I don't do that I am a failure and I'm not dedicated enough" can be really toxic for your mental health. Get rest and it is okay to not do the things you want to and to do what you feel like doing after all the average human lifespan is 80 years and you will die and you only get to live once. You shouldn't worry about work efficiency and enjoy your life as much as you can 💚💜

Not bc of this event but in my life from time to time I also face this same dilemma and I always reach the conclusion you just said, for me it is way better to give time to things instead of rushing everything up just because you find yourself comparing with others...
