Hey Noz, I am a 62kg surfer at 6 foot and i'm 16, I normally surf beach breaks and the occasional powerful point beak on the east coast of Australia, I am looking for fins that will give me some release as well as having some drive, I would also like to have some speed. I am not sure what fin to choose, can you please help me pick an FCS 2 tri fin set please.
Toledos or AMs (Al Merricks) they will recommend Medium for your weight but there’s barely any difference. If you’re 6ft you’ll probably be 80kg+ in a few years once you fill out so I’d get large since you’ll probably have them for years. There’s literally like a 2mm difference it’s nothing
I mean that was pretty high-level advice ^ 😂 In all seriousness, whenever it’s summer (now) and I longboard heaps. It makes it really hard to get a feel for my shortboard again. So if you truly want to get good at shortboarding, just shortboard! But I know that’s not ideal. So maybe ride something inbetween to help the transition… mid-length, groveller, fish?
