@@FerdinandFake no mate it’s not like any other refrigerant, it’s unique in its properties and if your working on subcritical it’s a Cascade system, fun in its own right but when it transcritical state it’s fun ( well is for me as I just love it ) …. Miss the days of R12, 22 and R502 as that was all easy compared but we’ve now moved on 👍
@@Josewww350 yes in many applications from vehicles and residential units to commercial and industrial systems. It is a very small install base at this point vs synthetics but it will continue to grow. CO2 is a great refrigerant but it is not the solution for every application.
R744 is not just another refrigerant, I work every day with CO2 systems and I'm still learning new things.

Working with mostly subcritical co2, it feels just like any other gas, exept that it can freeze and make dry ice.
