In my four semesters at TMS this was the most powerful Chapel service I have attended. Dr. Twist’s comments on placing our fleeting selves at the center of our own garden is such beautiful imagery. What an honor to have him as a professor.
I am watching this Message again, I can relate to what Paul Twiss is preaching, I struggle with self- centered fear because of sinful choices that is why I need to seek the LORD in His Word, diligently studying to know and grow in Him by the enabling of the Holy Spirit.
What a message, something I need to hear regularly. What a great teacher
Listened twice intently
Excellent
I've shared it and finishing up now as I type

Grateful to God for these😊
Well done Sir. Those who have the opportunity to learn from you are blessed indeed. Thank you for such an eloquent and spot on teaching. Masters Seminary is indeed full of those who are masters of teaching the precious Word of God. Alleluia and Praise the Lord.
This sermon was a blessing to me. Thank you.
'Chasing happiness is as chasing🫧' So true! Even when you catch one, it disappears. King Sholomo🤴possessedprestige. He took beautiful women by the hundreds. He acquired unequaled possessions and was granted wisdom to boot. Yet at the end of his life, he found that apart from Yehovah, there was only emptiness. God fills n satisfies the hunger within allowing us to experience pleasures that are good n right. A by-product of living with integrity.
Praise God for this preaching. Beautiful. 🤍
Really outstanding. Clear and compelling. Solid Bible teaching.
Our lot on this earth is filled with moments of happiness punctuated by periods of struggle. Ernest Hemingway wrote: 'If two people love each other, there can be no happy end to it.' Happiness is fleeting, but joy comes from above.
Happiness it’s temporary fleeting joy is eternal tie into our Salvation
Thank you for this message wow what a reminder for me. God bless you Paul
Thank you so much I needed to hear this Message. I need to be Christ-Centered.

Pleasure is not always something carnal. Can also be spiritual. It depends from what is our source of pleasure. The pleasure produced by the presence of God cannot be defined by words.
PLEASURE: a state of gratification. A sensual gratification. Frivolous amusement. A source of delight or joy. (Merriam-Webster)
“Lord, you alone are my portion and my cup; you make my lot secure. I will praise the Lord, who counsels me; even at night my heart instructs me. Therefore my heart is glad and my tongue rejoices; my body also will rest secure, You make known to me the path of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand.” (Psalms 16:5, 7, 9, 11 NIV)
“The God who made the world and everything in it is the Lord of heaven and earth and does not live in temples built by human hands.” (Acts 17:24 NIV)
“Don’t you know that you yourselves are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in your midst? If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy that person; for God’s temple is sacred, and you together are that temple.” (1 Corinthians 3:16-17 NIV)
Are his manuscripts available online? For this sermon, I mean
I don't think so
