- I am chasing Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce rookie cards and autographs for our next collectible sports trading card pack unboxing/break! The boxes I got for this opening are 2023 Leaf Metal Pop Century, 2013 Topps Chrome Football Hobby, and 2013 Panini Prominence. In total, these boxes/packs sell for over $600. The main cards we are chasing are the Kelce Topps Chrome rookie, Kelce autos from Prominence, and Taylor Swift cut autographs from Leaf Pop Century. Some other big cards that can be found are Superfractor 1/1s, other star rookies (DeAndre Hopkins, Keenan Allen, Geno Smith), ticket/backstage pass relics, and top celebrity autos (Daisy Ridley, Emilia Clarke, Elizabeth Olsen, Lil Baby, Meek Mill, Mike Tyson, Quavo, Pete Davidson, Samuel L. I'm so happy Taylor put the nfl on the map. I was getting worried that the NFL wouldn't have a large enough fan base to support it.
I saw her at Allegiant Stadium back in March. Of the 66k people that were there, I bet you maybe 1k were sports fans, like me. The NFL is bigger than Jesus, but she may just be bigger than it.

I worked at a buddies card shop during this time. I opened honestly 100 hobby boxes of 2013 Topps Chrome Football. On the bright side I went through my stuff a few weeks back and found a bunch of Kelce refractor rookies.

I kinda like the manufactured relics like the Ravens one you got in Prominence. It gives you a cool full patch of the team logo and its sort of an on-card auto. I’d definitely prefer that over a sticker. The rubbery helmets are kinda weird tho. Upper Deck Sweet Spot used to have helmet relics that were slightly more realistic material and the player signed on the helmet. Those were pretty cool. I feel like if we are going to be getting 99% fake relics, they might as well make em a little more creative than a tiny white napkin square.

Damn, that Keenan Allen is pretty sweet. Probably pays for a big chunk of the box.
Also the other reason the boxes are so high for the 2013 chrome set is it was the first in a few years to have vet autos so there's a chance at Brady autos among other big names besides the rookies

That Pop Century stuff is fun. I bought several boxes. I collected celebrity autos when I was a kid and have a pretty great collection, so this stuff is fun. The backstage passes are the rare ones! Tickets are the base of sorts and those are the short prints. Congrats that was a fun box!
That Jonathan Franklin card was pretty sick, he was on the way too being a pretty damn special player, but I believe had a neck injury and had to stop playing ball

Daisy Ridley usually just signs her first name but there are some auto’s where she signs her full name and also the female leads in Star Wars (Ridley, Portman, Jones, Fisher) sell for a ton of money

Taylor signed her CD booklets & sold them on her website for like $25, I bought 2 for my daughters for Xmas back in 2021. They now sell for about $125-$150. Leaf bought a bunch, cut the auto and put it on cards in this set.

I would love to see a video with the most obscure Leaf products. I know Leaf isn’t super desirable but they have the most unique pop-culture related products
So I was just wondering what that Daisy Ridley card would be worth and I found that same exact 1/1 that sold on the 6th of September. Now the autos are completely different. I found this very strange that it’s supposed to be a 1/1 and one just sold.

U should do some kind of BUILD A TEAM chase. Like pick a quarterback and go for their rookie card pick a RB and a WR then pick like 3 defensive players and go for all of their rookies. And maybe have 1 challenge (red flag) and u get to choose 1 person to substitute! Idk sounded good. Cheers from Florida. Or maybe pick a team and 3 offense and 3 defense and do the same thing. Sounds like fun

Hopkins is still in the league on the browns I just looked him up thanks for the opening packman I just love ripping packs and watching others rip packs also. I have learned over the years if you are in the hobby to make money buy singles but if you are in it for the fun and chase of it rip packs and boxes.

Michael Beck is an actor, he was the lead in The Warriors. Not sure what else he did.
Ferrigno of course, was the original filmed version of Bruce Banner/Incredible Hulk, but was also a body building champion.
Franklin was a good chase for a bit. Suffered a severe neck injury early on and retired. It was him and Eddie Lacy 1-2 punch.

Taylor signed thousands of the CD cover that Leaf used for the cut autos - the actual signed CDs usually go for ~$200, but the Leaf cards go anywhere from $300-$500, go figure
My LCS had the same box of 2013 Topps Chrome forever, at 3 bucks a pack. Pretty sure I eventually bought the entire box myself over a span of a couple years. Pulled a Geno Smith auto /75, held it the entire time it was worthless...sold it the preseason b4 he broke out for like $20 😅

Opened a box of 13 Topps Mini a few years back and pulled a gold/58 of Kelce. Always chuckle when I see that card. Looks so out of place.

You should go jordan hunting! I know he's in alot of stuff but pick some years he has some of those rare inserts like scoring kings. One of my best cards I own and there's nothing like pulling a fresh jordan out of a pack for 90s

The highlight of the video was your reaction to that Ball auto. I couldn't tell if you were serious or not. But yeah that Pop Culture product is neat if you do want to do a case opening of it sometime just to see if you can get that Swift auto too. Also that Journey card is still pretty dang neat too, Journey is a heck of an amazing band for sure!
