Seeing your kids helping out , playing around and loving on the pup, reminds me so much of my childhood. There was seven of us. Always busy helping and goofing off. Remember sleeping so hard back then. Life was good.
You are a blessed family…The majority men out there don’t have the luxury of a wife who actually does some real work. I remember working 2 jobs, remodeling the house and raising 3 kids while she was busy shopping and socializing on the phone all day long… then when confronted she would get sick like throwing up and asking to be taken to the emergency room where I would spend the rest of the night. Then early the next day still had to take the kids to the babysitter and go to work with no sleep… What I am trying to say is please appreciate a wife who is doing her part and praise her often.
sorry to hear you had to go through all that, hope you are on to a better life that brings you satisfaction and joy!! I appreciate you putting that out there!
When i was a young guy, my old man made me buck bales out of the field alone. I had to put the old ford in low range four wheel drive and granny gear and just let it idle across the pasture by itself while i ran around the trailer loading bales. You had to make sure you paid attention to turn the truck around before it went through the fence! lol
I’m Canadian, planning my first straw bale cabin, perhaps 400~500 sf. May I ask, where is your house located? How many sf? Does the roof need to be ventilated? Wow, you sure have a lot of people helping. I’ll be building mine by myself. Is this your very first straw bale house? You are doing a great job!
we live in North Dakota, the total square footage with garage is 3200 square feet. yes our first ever build and yes our family is always willing to chip in if needed. we have been so thankful and blessed for this!! thank you for watching
@@8interlanders Thanks for the advice! I’m just wondering is roof ventilation more critical in a cold climate when there is risk of warm, moist indoor air condensing on an exterior cold surface? I would think in a hot, tropical climate for example, the risk of condensation may be less. Regardless, I think ventilation is better to allow fresh air to circulate. But, modern homes all seem to have air pumps (forget proper name) for this purpose.

Watching this family all work together, is a beautiful sight. This is the way, families are meant to be.

Thank you very much!
That's the greenest straw i've ever seen. Looks like alfalfa hay.
it is flax, it was harvested a little early but there was very little moisture in it.

No expert here, but you should always vent a roof or you will have condensation and mold to follow.
