Nice review! It looks like a great cam for its price. Also, I would use it as webcam for streaming and with the hdmi 4k settings I think its better than a lot of webcams out there.

I own the Mokose C100 and C200 4k cameras and both produce video that is 10X better than what is demonstrated in this video. I don't know why all the sample videos on RUclips look so blurry and soft when both cameras produce clear and sharp video with excellent color via HDMI. It's also better to put the camera in photo mode when using it to stream from the HDMI since both cameras stutter a bit in video mode (recordings made to the SD card are smooth). Maybe a future firmware update will fix it. Both cameras also take decent photos if you mount them on a tripod since any camera shake blurs the photo. I use my C200 with an Atomos Ninja 5 and the results look almost identical to my Sony A6400. The 2X zoom on the Ninja 5 helps nail the focus. Also, if you're looking at replacing the stock lens, make sure it has an IR filter since they mounted one on the stock lens and it's not part of the camera. One more thing - the C200 (IMX577) has slightly better color and dynamic range than the C100 (IMX377 sensor).

Thought I’d leave the same comment to you since you’ve got experience…
I’m not familiar with lenses and what not. I’m a newbie I guess I should say. I’m looking to do a multi cam stream of my work (I build stills) I’m looking for a camera option for the stationary up close ‘detail’ shots. I’m considering trying the mokose. Should I get the version with 10-50mm telephoto zoom? Or is this one sufficient ? Or maybe I should try both lenses ? What will give me the best up close quality with these cams you think ?

So with this HDMI port, does that mean it will allow recording while streaming through the HDMI port to an external monitor? Basically you can mount this on a back windshield to record traffic behind you, but also see that live view on an external monitor while it's recording?

Any idea how to make audio work over HDMI with this camera? I have to use HDMI due to the 40' length of the distance to the PC, as USB won't work at all. USB on a short cable works with audio, but when I connect this camera via HDMI there's no audio.

That's the C-mount lens Jeff. The pix on the sellers website show the mount ring also remove for the CS (C-Short) mount lenses.
Any info on colour profiles and what the footage looks like in 4K? Really want to have a go with a nice fast Cosmicar (Pentax) prime, or one of the "16mm film" TV lenses from the '70's. I think it'd make an great Crash Cam, or maybe host-cam for our motorsport streams.

It looks good for close shots (less than 1m) but could it be nice for seeing an entire room ? (say 6/7m long x 5m wide).

honestly these usb cmos cameras from ELP, OSY, etc are all good considering the alternatives such as webcams (have shit quality in the low cost ones and decent in the higher costing ones) or actioncams (can be as worse, good or better, but don't have the plug and play aspect).
I wish these companies would create some true consumer webcams, with some marketing behind them. It's especially a good time now, when the pandemic only is getting worse and people are just having to buy these trash webcams, that popped out during the last few months.
