Their fault is that they didn't talk with him, instead they talk behind his back which made this a bigger issue. I really cried a lot when i saw heeseung on episode 2,he was the Leader and the Center, but other trainees talk behind his back, imagine he gave up his own practice time to teach every one of them, and they just did this to him. They only care and see themselves but they didn't care what heeseung will feel, i know it's in the past, but i hope they will learn from this matter. That's why, when ENHYPEN'S leader is decided i'm really glad that it's not heeseung, what i mean is, it might be hard for him because he is the eldest if he has a problem he can't talk with an older member that has many experiences in life. He did so much sacrifices during I-Land. He gave Ni-ki the center position, he gave jungwon his part so that Jungwon can really shine on stage, he helped and guide taki when he is having a hard time being a leader, he he gave up his practice time and teach each one of them. Last but not the least he cares about others first than himself, he is the most selfless IDOL i've ever seen. Edit: No hate in any of the members and all participants, its all in the past and i know they are more matured now. Let's support them on their journey as idols and trainees.
My heart breaks every time I see clips of ep. 2 in I-LAND, some trainees just did Heeseung dirty there when he was just trying to help them. No one deserves that kind of treatment and I salute Heeseung for not keeping any bad feelings for the others since he got along so well with them
Exactly everyone decided to throw all the responsibility of leading a group of trainees who barely knew each other on Heesung and then blamed him and kicked him to part 10 when things didn't go smoothly. He is so mature and kind for continuing to be willing to help them all throughout the show even after they did him like that.
Exactly. Heeseung had already scarified so much for them that they go back and some bad mouth him and start blaming him. It’s honestly so unfair to him that he was suddenly handed all these responsibilities because they all thought he was most experienced (even tho he trained the longest) but still Heeseung is just a person as well as the rest of them.
they really should've confronted heeseung about whatever problems they had as they came up instead of letting it fester and talking behind his back to the point it builds up and just crashes down on him. everyone makes mistakes, but how can you expect to avoid mistakes if you can't even let people know about them, let alone actually let people try to improve on them? they swapped heeseung out so quickly but never bothered to give him the opportunity to fix his mistakes.
The fact hes not the oldest member in iland but hes actually the most matured member among them. He take all sort of people's suggestion and comments and turn them into a lesson to improve not just himself but also the people around him. I'm glad he debuted. The Fact that A lot of New Engene Doesn't like him or thinks He is Someone who is overrated they should watch this,He was never privileged. Watching this just made me remember those Hard days of Him. I still remember how He tried His best but still some people were after him because He was a BigHit trainee & Bang Pd had high expectation of Him. The days He tried so Hard to be Strong & Helpful to the trainees but some times the trainees also misunderstood him. Still He did His best On Every thing. I love him for that. im a new engene, like i start watching them this month...i never adore any rookie group like this since i only stan 2nd and 3rd gen idols.how could they say that to him😭his presence in the group is important and necessary, he is the reliable hyung, he's a selfless person that put everyone else before him...even before i watch their iland clips, i can already sense that he's the backbone of the group. he doesn't talk much so he can listens well...

That flicker team scene, maybe that's what makes him didn't want to be a leader, cause as an oldest he doesn't wants his dongsaengs feel uncomfortable to approach him. Heeseung deserved to get to where he is now! He’s my bias along with Sunghoon, I always admire how kind and understanding he is. He has a very caring nature, and cares for other people around him. He has also worked so hard without giving up and still is, I’m so proud seeing him in Enhypen now!!
I totally agree with you. His caring heart and his dedication impressed me greatly during I-land. He has so much talent left to show us. I also have Heeseung and Sunghoon as my biases....both work so hard and care so much for the other members.
The most painful part in heeseung's journey in i-land was that he was attacked behind his back without doing anything bad for others, instead he did his best to suppose give a best performance for their team's benefit and he gave his personal time to teach each and every participant to improve their skills

Heeseung's team almost always win in I-land. From what i saw, he was a great leader. He would selflessly teach his members both choreography and what to emphasize in the songs. If you noticed, most of those who believed in him and followed him debuted with him and those that questioned him and his leadership failed.
13:04 i still remember myself being mad angry when i watched this part like how could K suddenly pushed all the responsibilities to heeseung when all those times he acted like a leader and didn’t even listen when heeseung suggested that they should practice live singing too. Then when the vocal trainer was upset about their vocals, he suddenly pushed heeseung to lead them, u could see heeseung’s reaction when K suddenly put the responsibilities on him, if i were him i’d be very angry and upset

I feel like as I-LAND progressed, Heeseung showed how you can be a respected hyung to most of the participants but still be a comfortable person to seek out, confide in, and trust. The number of times we see him defer to people who are younger than him and ask for their input, trust their decisions, and follow their lead…He stepped back and let Taki try his hand at leadership, and when Taki started to spiral, he stepped back in and in a very kind, gentle way, asked to become the leader and take that pressure off of Taki. He trusted Jungwon with the decision to switch parts. Yes, he was selfless to a fault in I-LAND, but look how comfortable and trusting so many of the I-LANDers became with him. Yes, at the very beginning, there was friction, but it’s so clear how many participants came to admire him for more than just his idol skills.
True... Each and everyone in the iland trust him, find comfort in him and looked up to him it's all because of his attitude. He's very caring, not greedy to share his knowledge in skills, very pure hearted, gentle in words and actions, always putting others ahead of him and always willing to listen.
heeseung is very skilled and talented, that much was evident during the first ep of i-land.. but what really stood out for me was his character. he is so gentle, so kind, well spoken, and very humble. he never bragged about his skills to get a position, he always let the others decide first, the one time he did was during flicker where he was the leader cos of the #1 benefit but when k wanted the same position, he said it was fine for him without drama. he even gave up his leading plans to avoid conflicts with k. he also let sunghoon sleep on his #1 bed even though it's the most comfortable one. when jungwon was pressured by the others to give up the center position, heeseung never said anything that would make jungwon feel small. he respected taki's leader position and believed in him, he only stepped up when it was obvious that taki really couldn't handle it. he is just one of a kind. the way he cried hard every time there were people who have to leave too ;---;
Remember those who talked behind Heeseung's back are the ones who did not make it on the final debubt team. This episode (Ep 2) made me sad for Heeseung but this is also the same episode that made me like him. Always thinking about the others before himself.
Thank god - I recently became a fan of Heeseung and Enhyphen, but I wasn't going to watch this show, in case some of the members who hurt him made the team - then I would not want to support the team as a whole anymore.

I always feel like he is not as appreciated as he should be ..... He is such a kind person .... He helped everyone in the competition though he was an opponent .... I love him so much ❤️❤️❤️❤️😭
In ep 2 they were throwing him out of leadership and center position because they didn't like how Heeseung was leading the team, but he's been training for a long time so he knows the level of criticism that the trainers and producers give, and that's why he was leading them that way. After they got their very negative feedback during evaluation, they ended up asking him to become center again.
Heeseung deserves the world , I relate so so much to him . Hes such a hard worker I hope he never changes his attitude towards working hard and hope that even when hes tired he'll find a way to shine as bright as he always does. I also hope he doesn't feel too pressured to be perfect or the perfect ace all the time, he doesn't even need to try hes already above and beyond.

Something that I've felt since I-land is that regardless if it was editing, K always thought himself entitled to debut. He treated Hee, Sunno, and Ni-Ki so poorly. Yes, he apologized but, that doesn't change how much he hurt them to the point they started questioning themselves and their worth. Hee sacrificed so much of his time and energy to help others and listened to their opinions but instead of helping K criticized him. He would make it seem as though Sunoo didn't belong just because he didn't fit the 'group vibe', til the end he couldn't understand why Sunoo was so popular that he constantly got first place not just by vote but also producers. And he completely went off on Ni-ki, who was 14 at the time, for being selfish to add an adlib into the choreo; yes even the producer asked who is he to change the choreo but, it's a competition, he wants to debut, he wants to get the publics attention, and I think it was valid for Ni-Ki to want to add his own touch to the choreo. K is very talented and he could be the sweetest person but his behavior left a sour taste in my mouth. Heesung and Sunoo were my two picks and I will forever be grateful they had each other and even debuted together. In my eyes Enhypen wouldn't be Enhypen without all seven boys, because everyone has there own part to play in the groups dynamic.
it put me off from him when he implied sunoo shouldn't be ranked first among fans because he came from the ground. we all know the ground was bs anyways and ilanders had major favoritism, that's why I'm glad in this new season the grounders and ilanders are picked by the judges.

Heesung is the hardest working and talented trainee on ILand! How many times did he change his role and learn new dance positions for the benefit of the team? He also had the lead roles, which are the most responsible and toughest. Some of the boys take him too much for granted sometimes 😢 He really deserves the recognition & to debut! So happy for him!!!!
Heeseung from day one was expected to perform at a high level. Just to try and imagine the amount of pressure that would cause is crazy. I remember in the beginning Band PD said that the team of judges and coaches should look not just at their abilities but also at their potential. For Heeseung I think there was less leeway given. And not just from the adults point of view but also amongst the i-landers. Everyone knew him to be the ACE so every time he practiced or performed he was expected to be beyond exceptional. Not that he wasn't but he's human, not everyday would be perfect. When I watched the show for the first time, I heard Heeseung say continuously if he doesn't debut now then he'll never debut. (Many other i-landers said that too but anyway) At the time, I thought it such a weird statement. Now, I realize that from Heeseung's perspective that at the time (this is just an assumption) he may have felt he was giving everything he had to debut and everyone around him has this vision of who he is so surely he has to debut now. Because if everyone has this expectation and he believed he was giving his all then if he didn't debut then he would never be able to give enough to debut. But I digress. Heeseung is such an amazing talent and soul! So much love to him and the rest of Enhyphen. Well done, gentlemen!
I think what sets him apart is he is mindful of his members. He never plays the ace or the hyung card. He always watches out for his team. Heeseung is a gem. It’s his attitude and dedication that caught pdnims eyes. EN- could go a long way.
I am not a engene but I want to tell heesung that he is good human. To be a good idol you have to be a good human first. And I know he is in the processing of being a good idol. From 6/7 years from now..I believe that he will be a great, famous and kind idol 🙂💜 From an army 💜
My respect and love for LEE HEESEUNG has increased thousand time more after watching this video. Aside of being an ACE he is such a humble human being. He deserves everything. Not too long ago I become an engene and I think I made perfect dicision to choose him as my bias. I love Heeseung and Enhypen so much....
You need to stop saying that because when people pretending to be fans or some who are actual fans of the other members read comments like this they get offended and resent him for it. I am not saying that you wanted to cause problem but I realize that it doesn't take much for them to start hating on him and I am sick of it.
It always surprised me how humble Heeseung was. Even though Heeseung's reason for not being the centre in episode 2 was that he felt like he shouldn't be the centre, it was actually a great move since he showed that no matter what part he gets, he shines. However, Heeseung was always so hard on himself when it came to leading. When things came crashing down whilst he was in some form of leadership, he always pinned the blame on himself and I honestly think that the other members around him didn't help at all when Heeseung came to that conclusion. I wonder if because of his experience in I-Land, he felt like he wouldn't be able to lead as well in Enhypen either. He may have already said why he didn't want to become the leader in Enhypen&hi but I think that there was something deeper that made him shy away from leadership.
I've said this so many times to my friends that watched Iland; in ep. 2 when the Ilanders put Heeseung at part 10 instead of center because he wasn't leading well, they all have the wrong concept of a center. The center is usually the most well-rounded person who can be the focus of the stage and is a good mix of all the members, NOT the person that is leading choreography. If the Ilanders understood this, they would've kept Heeseung in part 1 as center and just have niki teach the choreography because niki is a better dancer and should be the dance leader. Center doesn't equal leader.
Such an underrated person. I am new here and the reason I was attracted by him is that I saw his fancam. His dance movement has the unique sense that other people can't do the same way and of course his vocal. Like RM said when he has this kind of feeling means he is already having leadership in his heart. I hope he won't burden himself too much. He is already a talented good idol with great skills and attitude. With the energy he carries, people will eventually be influenced by him. Fighting!

sunghoon was my pick during i-land, mainly because he’s the first person that I saw on television and he made me watch the survival show... but heeseung has this mysterious aura in him idk. Hee’s my bias now ever since their debut and he’s still mysterious for me. Sometimes he’s so serious and quiet (like in i-land days), sometimes he’s so energetic that i almost think there are two different heeseungs😅😂

Heeseung really inspires me so much. He's so selfless, hard working, caring and talented.. Seriously he deserves the position he's in right now. Heeseung takes care of every member so well and helps out so much, he sacrificed many things and was patient when it came to his time to shine and debut despite it taking a while. When I first got into ENHYPEN I wondered why so many were drawn to Heeseung and now, having him as a bias and a role model I can definitely see why, he deserves the world. I hope ENHYPEN grows and becomes as big as BTS is so more can witness and appreciate how hard they work and how much talent each of them holds. And even if not, I'm glad I was apart of this wonderful experience with them as an engene.

One year later ~ I remember worrying for him. He was so intense I felt he might collapse emotionally if he did not make it. Now he is so much lighter and brighter. It is as if he were younger somehow. And now he smiles with his eyes.

On the first part of this vid, I believe Bang PD will never let Heeseung and Yeonjun on one frame. Why? 'Coz they know they are both Ace-you can make a group with similar dreams without conflicting same talent. Heeseung really pulls everyone being the Ace of Enhypen. Heeseung already made his way to success and it's clear that he can also manage to be a soloist in the future.

I can't imagine the pain of seeing the same people you're practicing with before debut, leaving you behind. Now, I am so happy that Lee Heesung became a part of ENHYPEN can't imagine it without him.
I cried watching this. I started stanning enhypen in June of this year and i really regret not stanning during I-land. I struggled for 3 months to choose a bias and finally I chose Heeseung. I always knew he was an ace and that he was destined to be in enhypen due to his insane talent. I thought it must have been easy for him because he was so talented, but after watching I-land, i was so wrong. I wasn't even Heeseung biased at the time but I cried watching ep 2 of i-land. So many of them were talking behind his back and it really pissed me off. He didn't deserve to be ridiculed so much, and it broke my heart seeing him cry. I'm not an emotional person, quite the opposite. But seeing Heeseung cry genuinely hit me in the gut. I'm so happy he debuted and i'm also kinda happy he's not the leader being the oldest in enhypen. He worked really hard and it payed off. I love him!
Heeseung and I have the same MBTI personality (INFJ), that's why I can understand him. People with this type of personality are really very caring. They sacrifice their own needs or wishes for others. Watching EP 2 made me cry so much, because Heeseung sacrificed his solo practice for others, but they back talked behind him so badly. I have also gone through this kinda situation, so it really hurts a lot. Heeseung really is such a nice human being, I can see myself in him because I am also very careful and considerate of other's opinions, often sacrificing my own problems for helping others. I'm happy he has amazing members who take care of him so much

until now, I can't still rewatch the whole survival show. the first and last time I watched that is the time when it's aired live. my heart broke so much because he's been through a lot there. he's the most selfless person I've known. I'm happy that we help him debut but we're just a 10% in 100% of it. He debut because he showed how deserving he is.
Really I am full of tears, I just found Enhyphen currently and fell in love for enhyphen, but my heart goes to Heeseung at the first time. Exactly everyone decided to throw all the responsibility of leading a group of trainees who barely knew each other on Heesung and then blamed him and kicked him to part 10 when things didn't go smoothly. He is so mature and kind for continuing to be willing to help them all throughout the show even after they did him like that.

The fact hes not the oldest member in iland but hes actually the most matured member among them. I still remember how He tried His best but still some people were after him because He was a BigHit trainee & Bang Pd had high expectation of Him. The days He tried so Hard to be Strong & Helpful to the trainees but some times the trainees also misunderstood him. Still He did His best On Every thing.

im a new engene, like i start watching them this month...i never adore any rookie group like this since i only stan 2nd and 3rd gen idols.how could they say that to him😭his presence in the group is important and necessary, he is the reliable hyung, he's a selfless person that put everyone else before him...even before i watch their iland clips, i can already sense that he's the backbone of the group. he doesn't talk much so he can listens well...

Heeseung's team almost always win in I-land. From what i saw, he was a great leader. He would selflessly teach his members both choreography and what to emphasize in the songs. If you noticed, most of those who believed in him and followed him debuted with him and those that questioned him and his leadership failed.

I feel like as I-LAND progressed, Heeseung showed how you can be a respected hyung to most of the participants but still be a comfortable person to seek out, confide in, and trust. The number of times we see him defer to people who are younger than him and ask for their input, trust their decisions, and follow their lead…He stepped back and let Taki try his hand at leadership, and when Taki started to spiral, he stepped back in and in a very kind, gentle way, asked to become the leader and take that pressure off of Taki. He trusted Jungwon with the decision to switch parts. Yes, he was selfless to a fault in I-LAND, but look how comfortable and trusting so many of the I-LANDers became with him. Yes, at the very beginning, there was friction, but it’s so clear how many participants came to admire him for more than just his idol skills.
True... Each and everyone in the iland trust him, find comfort in him and looked up to him it's all because of his attitude. He's very caring, not greedy to share his knowledge in skills, very pure hearted, gentle in words and actions, always putting others ahead of him and always willing to listen.
I also loved it when Taehyun was so happy that Heeseung was called out as the first member.
heeseung is very skilled and talented, that much was evident during the first ep of i-land.. but what really stood out for me was his character. he is so gentle, so kind, well spoken, and very humble. he never bragged about his skills to get a position, he always let the others decide first, the one time he did was during flicker where he was the leader cos of the #1 benefit but when k wanted the same position, he said it was fine for him without drama. he even gave up his leading plans to avoid conflicts with k. he also let sunghoon sleep on his #1 bed even though it's the most comfortable one. when jungwon was pressured by the others to give up the center position, heeseung never said anything that would make jungwon feel small. he respected taki's leader position and believed in him, he only stepped up when it was obvious that taki really couldn't handle it. he is just one of a kind. the way he cried hard every time there were people who have to leave too ;---;

Remember those who talked behind Heeseung's back are the ones who did not make it on the final debubt team. This episode (Ep 2) made me sad for Heeseung but this is also the same episode that made me like him. Always thinking about the others before himself.
Thank god - I recently became a fan of Heeseung and Enhyphen, but I wasn't going to watch this show, in case some of the members who hurt him made the team - then I would not want to support the team as a whole anymore.

In ep 2 they were throwing him out of leadership and center position because they didn't like how Heeseung was leading the team, but he's been training for a long time so he knows the level of criticism that the trainers and producers give, and that's why he was leading them that way. After they got their very negative feedback during evaluation, they ended up asking him to become center again.

Something that I've felt since I-land is that regardless if it was editing, K always thought himself entitled to debut. He treated Hee, Sunno, and Ni-Ki so poorly. Yes, he apologized but, that doesn't change how much he hurt them to the point they started questioning themselves and their worth. Hee sacrificed so much of his time and energy to help others and listened to their opinions but instead of helping K criticized him. He would make it seem as though Sunoo didn't belong just because he didn't fit the 'group vibe', til the end he couldn't understand why Sunoo was so popular that he constantly got first place not just by vote but also producers. And he completely went off on Ni-ki, who was 14 at the time, for being selfish to add an adlib into the choreo; yes even the producer asked who is he to change the choreo but, it's a competition, he wants to debut, he wants to get the publics attention, and I think it was valid for Ni-Ki to want to add his own touch to the choreo. K is very talented and he could be the sweetest person but his behavior left a sour taste in my mouth.
Heesung and Sunoo were my two picks and I will forever be grateful they had each other and even debuted together. In my eyes Enhypen wouldn't be Enhypen without all seven boys, because everyone has there own part to play in the groups dynamic.

Heeseung from day one was expected to perform at a high level. Just to try and imagine the amount of pressure that would cause is crazy.
I remember in the beginning Band PD said that the team of judges and coaches should look not just at their abilities but also at their potential. For Heeseung I think there was less leeway given. And not just from the adults point of view but also amongst the i-landers. Everyone knew him to be the ACE so every time he practiced or performed he was expected to be beyond exceptional. Not that he wasn't but he's human, not everyday would be perfect.
When I watched the show for the first time, I heard Heeseung say continuously if he doesn't debut now then he'll never debut. (Many other i-landers said that too but anyway) At the time, I thought it such a weird statement. Now, I realize that from Heeseung's perspective that at the time (this is just an assumption) he may have felt he was giving everything he had to debut and everyone around him has this vision of who he is so surely he has to debut now. Because if everyone has this expectation and he believed he was giving his all then if he didn't debut then he would never be able to give enough to debut.
But I digress. Heeseung is such an amazing talent and soul! So much love to him and the rest of Enhyphen. Well done, gentlemen!

It always surprised me how humble Heeseung was. Even though Heeseung's reason for not being the centre in episode 2 was that he felt like he shouldn't be the centre, it was actually a great move since he showed that no matter what part he gets, he shines.
However, Heeseung was always so hard on himself when it came to leading. When things came crashing down whilst he was in some form of leadership, he always pinned the blame on himself and I honestly think that the other members around him didn't help at all when Heeseung came to that conclusion. I wonder if because of his experience in I-Land, he felt like he wouldn't be able to lead as well in Enhypen either. He may have already said why he didn't want to become the leader in Enhypen&hi but I think that there was something deeper that made him shy away from leadership.
I've said this so many times to my friends that watched Iland; in ep. 2 when the Ilanders put Heeseung at part 10 instead of center because he wasn't leading well, they all have the wrong concept of a center. The center is usually the most well-rounded person who can be the focus of the stage and is a good mix of all the members, NOT the person that is leading choreography. If the Ilanders understood this, they would've kept Heeseung in part 1 as center and just have niki teach the choreography because niki is a better dancer and should be the dance leader. Center doesn't equal leader.

Such an underrated person. I am new here and the reason I was attracted by him is that I saw his fancam. His dance movement has the unique sense that other people can't do the same way and of course his vocal. Like RM said when he has this kind of feeling means he is already having leadership in his heart. I hope he won't burden himself too much. When I first got into ENHYPEN I wondered why so many were drawn to Heeseung and now, having him as a bias and a role model I can definitely see why, he deserves the world. I hope ENHYPEN grows and becomes as big as BTS is so more can witness and appreciate how hard they work and how much talent each of them holds. I cried watching this. I started stanning enhypen in June of this year and i really regret not stanning during I-land. I struggled for 3 months to choose a bias and finally I chose Heeseung. I always knew he was an ace and that he was destined to be in enhypen due to his insane talent. I thought it must have been easy for him because he was so talented, but after watching I-land, i was so wrong. I wasn't even Heeseung biased at the time but I cried watching ep 2 of i-land. So many of them were talking behind his back and it really pissed me off. He didn't deserve to be ridiculed so much, and it broke my heart seeing him cry. I'm not an emotional person, quite the opposite. But seeing Heeseung cry genuinely hit me in the gut. I'm so happy he debuted and i'm also kinda happy he's not the leader being the oldest in enhypen. He worked really hard and it payed off. I love him!
Heeseung and I have the same MBTI personality (INFJ), that's why I can understand him. People with this type of personality are really very caring. They sacrifice their own needs or wishes for others. Watching EP 2 made me cry so much, because Heeseung sacrificed his solo practice for others, but they back talked behind him so badly. I have also gone through this kinda situation, so it really hurts a lot. Heeseung really is such a nice human being, I can see myself in him because I am also very careful and considerate of other's opinions, often sacrificing my own problems for helping others. until now, I can't still rewatch the whole survival show. the first and last time I watched that is the time when it's aired live. my heart broke so much because he's been through a lot there. he's the most selfless person I've known. I'm happy that we help him debut but we're just a 10% in 100% of it. He debut because he showed how deserving he is.
