- In this video titled EU4 Releasables - The MOST POWERFUL Nation You've NEVER HEARD OF I do a playthrough as Shewa after releasing it from Ethiopia and I try to become a great power in Europa Universalis 4 1.37 Winds of Change. This is the series titled Releasables where I attempt to play every releasable nation in EU4 or Europa Universalis 4. In this video I play as the nation of Shewa in EU4. Algeria was a former French colony and a bunch of ethnic Kabyle people have played football for France including Zinedine Zidane, Karim Benzema and Kylian Mbappé (his mom is Kabyle), so conquering some land in France would be relevant.

Kabylia is the closest thing to carthage, so conquer the provinces of the carthaginian empire at its peak!
Then change to indian tech group to get elephants and occupy rome
I wish we could see more of the wars you fight, instead of "let's declare" immediately followed by "alright, alright, the war is done and we fully occupied the Ottomans as Byzantium" ;P

@@TheRedHawk Thanks for answering. They don't have to be full wars, but just some crucial moments, most important maneuvers etc. Obviously we don't need to see one-sided wars when you fight a tiny enemy, but you could show us some of the big ones.
In terms of video length, maybe you could condense the summary in the end? Of course keep you feelings and thoughts about the campaign and the nation in the video, but I usually skip the part when you repeat what we just saw 10 minutes earlier 😅

Thank goodness you can’t form other nations in Releasables, otherwise, the Ethiopia you cold form would be religiously cursed
I may be wrong but I believe Ethiopia isn't a formable nation at all.
Ok, I was wrong as he showed it in the video later. But I remember checking Ethiopia formation conditions when playing in that region as a custom nation and I couldn't find it on the wiki back then.
As Kabylia make yourself Kabulia and conquer a continuous route to Kabul. Extra points for also owning Apulia for all of our brethren with dyslexia out there.
There are no special challemges for releaseables only a to z.
Shewa, as it happens, was the kingdom that Menelik II, the guy who unified modern Ethiopia, came from.
Emperor Haile Selassie's lineage also descends from Shewa.

@@zeno9439 Shewa used to be Christian until local Somali warlords took over the it but Sahle Selassie, Haile Selassie's great grandfather, retook the lands and his son Menelik II converted a lot of Muslims in the province and moved Ethiopia's capital to Addis Ababa in Shewa.

Since Kabylia is home to Berber people, as Kabylia you have to conquer all the Sahara region, and as a second goal, since the province is also part of the Atlas mountains, you will have to own all mountain provinces in Africa. Enjoy !

Maybe you should say you are playing every nation that no longer exists in 1444 because you're only doing releasables not formables.
Nations that no longer exist in 1444 need to be released in order to play them. So the name "releasables" makes sense. Also, a lot more attractive than the whole sentence "playing every nation that no longer exists in 1444." Lol
I know it's far too late for this idea, but it would be cool if they gave you one free capital move when you release/play as a nation.
