From the beginning of this video to 4:40 is my standard highway fuel economy test. From 4:40 on is the specific Plug-In Hybrid demonstration and test, if you are more interested in that.
I have a 2023 XC60 Recharge and what you get is entirely dependent on how far you drive, obviously. I usually drive under 60km in town where I live with the odd trip over 60kms. The car has around 17,000km on it now after just about a year of driving. I now average 2.4L per 100km - or 98mpg so that is, to me, fantastic - especially considering my charging station is a no-cost-to-me feature in my building. In other words, I spend pretty much nothing on gas! I LOVE this car!
When you say you have a “Recharge”, do you mean the basic no plugin recharge hybrid or are you referring to the PHEV PLUGIN? Volvo makes a “Recharge Hybrid” and a Plugin Hybrid Electric Vehicle.
$10K in rebates? I bought my XC60 Recharge in August of last year and I got exactly $0 in rebates! Is that a provincial or federal rebate? Either way, good for you!.
thank you - this is the type of thing that I have been looking for (and this is the best video I have seen so far)! more specifically - I am trying to discover what mpg I will get on a 200 mile trip at 70mph on cruise control - have you done a similar journey yet?
Excellent video! Thank you very much. I just picked mine up on Saturday and I'm doing my first big trip today. Anybody in the chat have any pointers for me about this vehicle? Things that I should be aware of?
Indeed. And, I just love this B mode. Weird at first but I got used to it in a hurry. I rarely use the brakes anymore as the car pretty much stops itself - and., of course, it charges the battery in doing so. Great feature.
Appears you only plug in to recharge the battery during the day at work and not overnight at home. I guess you don't have access to charging at home. Many folks, including myself, don't have access to charging at home. So this would be much better if the car was charged at home as well as at work.
I don’t have a place to charge at home. Honestly if I did I would have hardly burned any gas at all, because if the circumstances were right this Volvo would do my full commute under electric power. Maybe I should buy a plug-in hybrid 🤔

@@Itsme-vo4fx The Recharge model IS the plug-in version. The non-plugin is not called a Recharge. FYI
I just ordered one of these today, the Plus Dark version. In Atlantic Canada, it's going to cost me $85k minus $10k in rebates.
Congrats, I hope you love it!

@@danielgrenier2417 I think it's provincial. Just bought one in Alberta and the rebate was $5,000.

Basically that’s the first part of the video, except I did 115 miles or whatever instead of 200

For improved mpg drive in B mode
You get more electrical regeneration if you use 'B' drive mode giving you more range on the battery.

Hi folks, the max range is got with my XC60T8 is 80km - circa 49 miles. The normal is around 76km and depends on temperature guess. Best from Germany
Would you mind doing similar test, but drive in Hybrid/Auto showing how well the car does managing electrification entirely by itself?
Unfortunately it’s not my car I just had it for a few days to review
