      Lol, I've been thinking about that too. I guess heights gets me more now then when I was young.

    Great to see a watch review of a watch no one else is reviewing... keep up the great work.

    If I was into photography I'd totally be into this watch. It's always nice to see something different and unique.

    I get it. Maybe a camera buff with a large wrist would get a kick out of this watch. I would not buy or wear it myself though. Too big and I think I would have a hard time reading the time. It is overpriced by a lot. But thanks for sharing it, it was fun to see,

    Probably one of the "edgiest" watches that I've ever seen; definitely not for me, but really interesting to see your review of it.

    Cool looking watch. My wrists are 6.5" so I'll have to wait for a smaller version.

    Thanks for making us aware of this company. I’m checking out the website now. BTW I have the wrist for big watches.

    I have to say the idea of wearing a camera lens is a VERY cool idea. I could never wear something that large, but even if I could, I wouldn't get this one because of the absolutely hideous 10th anniversary on the second hand. I would urge you to tell them to change that off. It's pathetic. They won't change the size of the case, but maybe they'd make a few more sales if it didn't have that idiotic touch on that hand. But I agree, it's great to see people think out of the box and now I will at least look at their website.

    Thanks for the review, honest as always. Concept, design and execution looks like its worth half the price at least. One should think that a company would take an extra step to quality control a review specimen. Those look like off-the-mill china bracelets. They are all over the place, solid links, and a milled clasp. If you get a clasp thats good, its really good. If you dont, sometimes you can work a bit on it to make it work. I am a bit OCD about both lock mechanisms requiring the same amount of force to lock and open :) But of course I would not accept fiddling with the bracelet at this price. I am not a camera enthusiast, but I could easily see this watch being the preferred novelty-watch among photographers :)

    I agree about the price. It should be around the 400 dollar price rnge. But it is a unique piece to have.

    Not my cup of tea. As you said, I like that companies experiment with some daring designs: but if I want something that looks like a vintage camera, and is as large as a vintage camera, I'll get a vintage camera... Best wishes to the company for their business, but I won't help them with this item...

    • @24hourstime
      @24hourstime  4 года назад

      Yeah if it was around 44mm it would be more appealing.

  • @CanadianBeachcomber

    They have the AVL 2 on leather strap for $440. Essentially the same watch.

    • @24hourstime
      @24hourstime  4 года назад +1

      The one at $440 is much more reasonable.

    I love Photography but that doesn't mean I want to wear a huge lens on my wrist. I love Marine Biology but it doesn't mean I want to walk around with a shark biting my ass either 🍑🦈. IMHO think the packaging is definitely better than the watch. But no doubt it will appeal to some and even at that price there will be some willing to, ahem, snap it up 📷

    Big boy watch in every dimension. Still kind of like it though

  • @crvols

    I think if this was also a real camera it might justify the price. As a watch that only looks like a camera it seems like an expensive novelty to me. The money would be better spent on the vintage camera you had with it!

    It's the second time I've seen this watch and it just gets more ridiculous each time. If it had come with an Invicta logo I wouldn't have been surprised. Great review btw.

    Very cool design, but it is quite large. It is not practical but is not supposed to be. It is definitely meant to look great, not to be practical, so it should also cost somewhat less. I also enjoy vintage cameras, but would not really wear one on my wrist.

    As an interesting design experiment that takes inspiration from the camera world I kinda appreciate this, despite being quite illegible. Never seen that before. But man is this way too big for my broom stick wrist lol.
    Also too expensive as you mentioned as well. Great review as always!

  • @stevefox8605

    They've nailed the old camera lens aesthetic they were going for, but it does beg the question why?! Too big, illegible & strange looking. I just don't get it myself. Cheers 👍🏻
