Glad you are posting on this topic and in general I have really loved and gotten a ton out of your tutorials! This one however falls short for me...I don't "see" as you say what is happening with the blades under the water. What might be more helpful is a short video on dry land with the camera at your back and showing this U-shaped motion. Then maybe another camera angle from the side to show the feathering angle of the blade. Could also do a top down or one from past your head with you lying on your back as an equivalent. Just a thought. It's a tough thing to convey because there are so many axis of rotation with this type of movement.
Thanks Jamie! That is a very fair criticism. Disadvantages of me having been very isolated from other paddlers in our recent season in North Devon; I was often filming alone. Hopefully in future I can rope someone in, so I can produce a follow-up. It's a really tricky motion to capture, but as you suggest, I think top-down and from behind (plus dry land) might help.
