I had all 3 before same models... The 652 is amazing. The korean jem is also amazing. The jem jr is noticablely cheaper feeling. They are also very different guitars and different feeling necks.
hello there, i have quastion about ibanez jem77p bfp. i wanna buy this gutar soon, but there's one problem. on this guitar is an edge zero 2 bridge, but a lot of people're saying that it's really bad. so can i replace this edge zero 2 bridge with an default edge or any floyd or other bridges?
Thanks for the question. I don’t know what other bridge would be a drop-in replacement without making any alterations. I honestly have not had any issues with this bridge. I think it works great. Just my opinion here….If you get this guitar, I would recommend using the stock bridge for a while and see how it works out, and then decide if you want to replace it.
@@RobNY5150 thanks for answer. So you didn’t have any problems with this bridge, I mean tuning stability , material quality? I really like the way this guitar looks, but for 1500$ i wanna something that is good made. So what do you think, would I buy this Indonesian jem or get some Japanese prestige? Thanks
@@cookie_show_2.010 I also own a Japanese Prestige and they are top end quality IMO. The Premium has given me zero problems. The fit and finish is honestly perfect. The Prestige is more expensive obviously. My suggestion is whatever you decide to do, make sure you get it from a seller where you are able to return it if for example, you don’t like the feel of the neck etc.
Why is Ibanez moving their killer guitars away from japan? If im paying big bucks, i want a fujigen made guitar. Im not impressed with the Indonesia made stuff. There old stuff from the Korean World factory is amazing too, but idk if they make guitars there anymore.
Unfortunately the so called FR’s on the Ibanez Jem Jr, they’re crappy knock offs Has a cheap block, springs, and the screws that hold it all into place, they suck balls It would be better without the tremolo .. IMO
It’s a budget end guitar so the hardware is definitely cheaper. I’ve been using it with zero problems but I don’t know the long-term durability. These lower cost Ibanez are great modding platforms however.
@@RobNY5150 Did it, 1984 FR, it’s a great playing guitar now But not with that trem on it End result was almost a 1200$ guitar after set up and fret job I have a ST HH Sawtooth that I think has a fake Floyd on it .. 349$ or maybe 400 something, during Christmas 50% off But it’s so well done I can tell the difference Seymour Duncan’s, polished frets, low action, zero fret buzz, fast shred neck, Wilkinson tuners Floyd Rose ? I don’t think so, but it plays like one
