I tell my cousin all the time 1-2 punches MAX at a time. If you throwing more than 2 punches it should be to end the fight or an occasional PLANNED combination to keep your opponent from getting comfy. Mix ups to the head & body.

I raise my block all the way up on AI and catch punches and only throw majority counter power punches. Its kills Opponents stamina and gets you back 9% to 14% back every round
After they patched the straights years ago, you don't really loose stamina when missing straights power or otherwise. That's why people spam it, along with there are more knockout animations, it lands harder than any other punch regardless of range and it lands first if the opp is throwing hooks or uppercuts.
Game is trash All you have to do is walk forward and throw punches and they land every single time even though you're blocking them punches always go through the guard game is f****** garbage
Thanks for the upload man I’m struggling to get better I’m stuck in a rut hopefully this will help I need to learn the game mechanics I think like you said pleasing the crowd
JeremyCrescendo Yes, very much so. Try on offline mode to compare the buttons vs sticks. It takes practice to get the sticks down but the power and less stamina needed is a huge difference. I still sometimes use a button for weird combos where sticks are almost too hard. Using the buttons here and there not a big deal but you want to try to use sticks as the primary way to punch.
Players need to understand the bonus system in FNC. I’m not sure exactly how it works but stamina bonuses are given to each boxer type depending how effective you were the round before. It can be up to 14% recovery! I can go a full 10 round fight throw over 200 power shots and pretty much finish with full stamina if i get back those bonuses. Feinting your opponent is huge cause it throws their timing off making them throw at air.
I know how and when to counter. I can't find anything about fighting a counter puncher. My strat so far is to throw a single jab and when they evade, hook to the body. That only works when the distance is closed. Any other tips?
jab to the body straight to the body then after 4-5 rounds then start opening a bit more. Then in round 8-10 get at them. The late rounds is where you want do most of your work. If they are standing just waiting for , you push them before punching. Also, the power uppercut to the body will get through the Philly shell, hit where their elbow is bent across their body.
Darren so how do i make punches stronger than usual...becuase there are guys that throw str8s that are too strong. I gotta wind up my power punch. But they throw regular power punches i get hit with 2 to my piwer punch im winding up for..
3 ways to punch harder 1. Boxer type has to be Inside (strongest punchers in game) Or Brawler 2nd strongest. 2. Make your punching style and or stance Power 3. Go to your AI settings and go all the way up on power instead of fast punching. Then develop your KO style
after wathcing soem videos online i think i might well probabyl will try this game again..im still pretty damn shitty i cant win for shit in legacy mode and watching videos im seeing a bit as to why..i hold block constantly during a fight and every shot the computer throws lands whether my block is up or not , i land many power punches but the computer guy doesnt go down and he stuns me with little shots btu seeing videos online the guy says the longer you hold block the less effective it is so there fore i might as well be standing with my hands down anyway...so maybe ill have better luck not holding block the whole fight.i get ko'd left and right in this game from teh computer ffs...im shitty and i still dont know what im doing wrong...my defense is terrible they land at minimum 70 eprcent connect rate if i hold them in the 60's its a good fight for me. but i also land in the 60-70 percent range myself
Don't just hold block unless you're on the inside trying to back away. Catch the hits you see coming by pressing RT before the punch connects. It takes timing, but punches can't get through your block that way, and it costs you much less stamina. It works like a parry for the right stances. Just don't try it with a boxer whose stance keeps their hands low, otherwise you'll eat every punch because they can't block fast enough.
Wish there was a simulation league for Xbox one. Be nice to expect boxing instead of some cheap ass tactics. It's hard for me to understand why you'd even waste your time spamming how much fun can throwing the same things over an over be.
@@journeyman7934 this is crazy thank you so much! I would have NEVER figured out why i was dominated stat cards, countering people 50-60 times per fight and still losing late... didnt feel like i was outpunching myself either... i always land more and throw less! But after learning this, LEANING was in fact my problem because I go for lots of counters. I limited my leans over the weekend and went 7-0 online haha... NOW... the only thing I still struggle with are runners... I cant cut them off and they just dive in for 2 body shots followed by a backstep right straight... most bullshit ass combo ever lol
@@nickcolagiovanni6572 my strategy with head movement is do use it quickly for a split second here and there. as far as I can tell the more time you spend holding down the button the more stamina it burns, so i still use it all the time but only for a second at a time. my stamina is usually around 80% at the end

Also note that using buttons use more stamina than the sticks. Using sticks also hits harder most of the time.

Fastest way I've seen the fighters lose their stamina is by punching air. Totally missed punches.
What controller settings do you use like out of the configuration numbers
