He's more costly than he looks. He really wants GB4 to get the Brave Dimitri tank experience. Flat DR is great, but its nowhere near the godly tanking you'd get from Dimitri at base. If you manage to get a Bimitri, his base kit and refine covers what you need, so you don't have to go too far for skill fodder there.
@@ItsCrunkulous do you need GB4 for Bimitri to be tanky? He already comes pre-built with decent stuff out of the box. Cormag doesn't even come with an A skill.
With Líf’s refine he becomes a pretty good Galeforce unit as well, effectively having a 2 cooldown Galeforce without timespulse or any outside support, sadly he is not an offense mythic, otherwise I could see some pretty cool strategies using his 20 damage to put allies in WOM range
I've always wanted to build up cormag since he's one of my favorite units from fe8 and now that he's suddenly really good I think his time has come (especially since I happen to have a rearmed ingrid and no one I'm actively planning to give her lance)
At this stage I'm just waiting for DEF/RES Solo, SPD/RES solo, or SPD/DEF solo for Cormag (I run Distant Stance on him with a SPD/RES asset build). I want to keep it this way because I do love just throwing him into a corner and having him tank and kill Legendary Veronica's and other Horse Cavs.
Just want to say that i really like that you show the weapon itself in the refines videos, always interesting on the heroes with a new prf weapon how the weapon looks
I feel like Edelgard lost pretty heavily. Until we get assault troop 4 shes not gonna score, shes lacking movement, and shes simply not fighting most of what she couldnt before. I think I would have honestly taken DR pierce 50% over GFU because GFU is almost never activating anyways. Also for a unit whos entire gimmick is player phase not having movement of any kind in her refine is just plain stupid.
Just use Assault Troop 3...? She's incredibly good. I'm really tired of the community saying a unit is bad just because a unit doesn't "come" with the skills they need. We can use inheritance. She very easily can attack 3 times per phase and live to tell the tale now with her DR and auto follow ups.
Valbar... No..... The lack of any extra res really hurts him. He's also in the awkward camp of having more speed than necessary for what he does; it may let him double other slow armors but they'll be so much beefier that it hardly matters. Sure, you could try to go the atk/def near save route and just try to destroy enemies with high atk+ignis, but we already have Arden for that (and he does it better). I love Valbar, but the mediocre refine really puts him in a bad spot. It's hard to justify using arcane qiang either, because of the aforementioned excess speed. I guess I'll just have to hope he gets a good alt someday
So happy they gave my Skeleton FE Archer (Lif) so much *POWER!* Can't wait to see the man *slaughter* his enemies to Fallen blasting in background once again! Four new weapons in the batch, that's pretty nice. Mostly stat balls with damage reduction and other neat little perks.

Eyvel is not only durable as hell now, she's also hitting quite hard. Mine actually clapped the Abyssal Nerthuz.

Cormag got a really really good f2p refine. Slaying, defense based DR, and slaying all together. That's incredible.

@@fatcat1697 any unit you invest to will be costly either way. Guard bearing 4 on the boy will certainly prove effective

Medeus should effectively help negate the 20 damage for Lif, right?
Yeah but if you’re using them in AR, they’re in separate seasons since Medeus is dark and Lif is anima, but for PvE, definitely very helpful

I had my Cormag with DC and Barrier Lance, and Aether, so I'm quite happy with the refine.

I know fury 4 has no synergy with his refined prf but I kind of need it for wyvern flight.

Lif, edelgard, alm, and cormag got pretty good refines here. Unfortunately the others didnt quite do so well, but only valbar is truly bad.
