  • Ever wonder how electricity flows through a machine when it contacts a line? This is MUST VIEWING for anyone who works around electrical power lines. Courtesy Fortis, AB

Very very interesting and educational. Thanks for the info. I hope I never need to use it.

Can I share this clip to our country South Korea? I would really appreciate it if you could tell me the source of the video.

DOESN'T THE VOLTAGE PASSES THROUGH THE JCB DRIVER WHILE TOUCH POTENTIAL IS CAUSED?

No the truck or piece of equipment acts like a Faraday cage.

I never understood this feet-shuffling/bunny-hopping business. It seems to me that it unnecessarily broadens your contact with the ground, makes you more likely to fall over (and get fried) and it also slows you down which can be a bugger if there is a raging electrical fire or explosion risk. Why not just jog away? Running by definition never inolves both feet on the ground at the same time. Since running is more natural to us (than bunny-hopping) you are going to be more stable and you are going to be faster to evacuate. You can also leap over while running and clear higher obstacles easier than when bunny-hopping, let alone feet-shuffling.

Wouldn't it be better just shuffling away than jump?

    Pls explain
Why shuffling and jump with two legs like frog will safe from etrocution

Time stamp 0.44 shows why. If one leg is in the higher voltage, and your other leg is on a lower voltage, your body is in the middle of these 2 different volts. Your body will be used to even out (?) the voltage differences... As a layperson, that's what I'm getting from this... Shuffling/hopping keeps both of your legs together and hopefully prevents an imbalance of touch voltage.
