Nothing is too short, Hans, we enjoy ALL of your videos. I like these educational pieces you do... deducing that the villa burned because of the charcoal. I love the pottery fragments, such rich red color. Along with the red butterfly, I have never seen one like that. I see your working on graphics to go in your videos, nice touch. Wishing you much success, be safe....Beste, Anna
thank you my friend, that's kind of you to say :) the villa burning down is just an assumption based on the charcoal .. but I'm glad that you would agree with this theory. the butterfly is called Pfauenauge in german. i found out that the translation is peacock butterfly. quite common species in central europe. thank you for watching and for appreciating what I do. all the best to you, stay healthy and take care. big hug, hans
That’s amazing. I can’t imagine walking where Roman’s lived let alone finding their things. Especially something so personal as pottery. Thanks for sharing! You always have the best content.
This was a lovely post, I really appreciate the history and visualization of what may have been. That was a Beautiful Moth, wow! Thank you. Peace and good fortune and good health to you and yours. 😀👍🦋⚘

A short and sweet video Hans, its interesting that the stone is being lifted by the plough, who knows what has been lifted for you to find this time around. I and many others wait patiently for you to post a video, we don't worry about time as we enjoy your videos sweetheart. I loved the shot of the bird and butterfly, it looked to me as if the butterfly was opening its wings either to dry them or on the hope of finding a mate. The difference in the colours of the fields always strikes me as here on the farm I live on are like that too. From sandy gravelly field to clay and to dark healthy soil. My garden has gravel at its base and my gravel bed flourished, it's rare that the garden has puddles as it drains so well. It's warmer here now thank goodness, it was 10c last week and 20c now, what a difference a week makes and I hope you are finding it warmer too. Take care and God bless you my friend love and hugs Mary-Ellen UK

From what you've reported Hans, my take-away is that we can expect to see you discover a large Roman mosaic buried about 2 meters below ground, where the villa's bathhouse used to be. Do you agree? Excellent shots of the moth and beetle.

Hello Hans, again it's a joy to watch a new video from you. I like the graphic featuring what can be imagined how the Roman Villa appeared. Knowing a little bit of the history, it would be exciting to know more about the German Tribe nearby (which one?) and their association with a Roman of high status. Also, are Roman Villas a rare thing in Germany, and what were the inherent benefits and risks living here in the 2nd C? And how did the surrounding environment appear at the time? Was this a plowed field? Was there a large forest? Where is the ancient roadway, and was there a nearby village and the closest water source? Thanks again for your insights and "finds". David

Ciao ✋ se ti piace il Metal detectoring dai un’occhiata al mio canale
Salutoni 👍🔝🤩
From what you've reported Hans, my take-away is that we can expect to see you discover a large Roman mosaic buried about 2 meters below ground, where the villa's bathhouse used to be. Do you agree? Excellent shots of the moth and beetle.
haha.. you are rising the bar quite high for me now.. how about another beetle to start with?thank you for watching :)

Interesting video Hans, even without the detecting !
Great informational share, liked the flaming villa clip.
hi Hans...hope all is well with you and yours...it may only be a short video...but it is still a great video full of information...usefull for all ! well done for your finds, and keep the video's coming..summer is difficult to find places to detect, ime fortunate as i live only 2 miles from the coast...so when i get the detecting urge...off i go...iether the coast...or the woods (cooler in the woods)...ok take care my friend and i look forward to the next video...GL&HH Gordon wigham
David
It's a shame that it can't be saved, thank you for showing us the history.
Thanks for an interesting and informative video. How thrilling to reach out and touch items that were part of the history we have been told about all of our lives. Thanks again.
