Oh my gosh! Your house sounds just like my house. When someone comes home the dogs are delirious to see them. We have private garbage pick up too and it's just like you say....if you have your little dumpster out at the road MAYBE they'll pick it up. If we call they will send someone out the next day so that's good. Any way you look at it we get charged for the pick up so I don't feel guilty at all if I'm a pain in the neck :) Thanks for reminding us about the Sweet Roll Vivid. I knew there was a yarn I wanted to pick up from Premier but couldn't remember the name. I just love the hats you made with that yarn!!!
Those bed covers are a life saver and easy to install. I installed 3 by myself. Since 97, all we have had were pickups, because I didn't want a mini van or SUV. So being able to grocery shop in the rain or snow a cover made it easier. Or going from VA to IL, so easy and you feel safe running into a rest area for a potty break that no is going to see your stuff and snatch it. Then in 09 we got my Escape, that was totally different and I wasn't used to it. My husband has done the majority of working. I take care of the bills and household stuff. That's how he wanted it. We agreed early into our marriage if we ever had kids one of us would be at home for our kids, our kids would be raised by us not daycare. Even when I did work, I worked opposite his hours. And that was hard working around the navy. Thankfully I had a cool boss, he let me bring my son to work with me when my husband couldn't be home. My son would help clean the store, get stuff out of the cases, fill the soda cooler and sit in the corner and play on his gameboy. The owner/boss would even pay him like $20. He just wasn't allowed in the piercing room. I worked in a tourist shop at the oceanfront. Because my son was 9 and 10, he'd send my son a couple doors over to the pizza shop to get pizza for all of us. And my son can tell you where his PS2 came from for his bday that year, mom busted her butt piercing. Strictly my tips. I was so proud of that PS2.

It is wonderful that you were able to stay home with your kids when they were young. Some people just cant do that and they are still raising their own kids just in a different way.

Jenn it’s so funny how much our upbringing was very much the same. The difference was I have no memory of my grandfathers or one grandmother bc they passed. The only grandmom I knew also delivered me bc I was born at home,saved my life at birth and named me but had no time for me. She had 9 kids only favored the oldest son and his son and her youngest girl and hers kids. When you visited you had to sit and not touch anything or you got punished.

Happy Monday! Jennifer, I love the bright hats. The blue one I love but I do not knit. German Chocolate cake is my husband's favorite . His birthday is in Nov. He didn't get one this yr. He ask for one about a wk ago. Lol, I'm Not a big sweet eater. But he is. Daily. My mom never wishes me a Happy birthday. I know it hurts , but I just let it go.

My grandma sent out birthday and Christmas cards to every single grandchild (13) and great grandchild (25) every year except her last year due to poor health. Even as an adult, I received a birthday and Christmas card from my Grandparents. As a kid I spent most of my summer break days playing with my cousins at our grandparents house. My grandparents were a huge part of my childhood. I know that I had an unusual childhood and I am so grateful for the wonderful memories my grandparents gave me. My grandad drove me to my first paying job as a teenager. They are no longer here, but I carry my memories of them in my heart.

Oh gosh…our trash company, here in Texas is similar. The 1st of January they started charging an extra $6/bag of trash you have over a certain number of trash bags! It’s crazy!!!
Jen, thanks so much for sharing, everything today. My husband and I are working very hard trying to break generations of "really messed up families" it's hard work, but it's nice to see someone who's further down the path (my kids are 4 and 1.5).
We have also decided that I will raise our kids not put them in daycare, and yes, it is a sacrifice financially, but so so so worth it to us!
I thought you picked Sisu because you are from Michigan. Sisu is a Finnish word meaning: strength of will, determination, perseverance, and acting rationally in the face of adversity. You probably recall that there are loads of Finnish people in Michigan, mostly from the Upper Peninsula. I frequently see cars with ‘sisu’ stickers on them. My mother-in-law was 100% Finnish and from the UP.

my birthday is 29th December so my birthday was mostly ignored so I feel his pain. My mum was amazing! my dad was hopeless and he favoured my younger brother and sister, my nanny and grandad (dads parents) spoiled us rotten my grandmother (mums mum) I can't even remember getting a card from her. My hubby was the first person to make a fuss of my birthday.

Here me out, shepards have intense smell and hearing. So maybe he smells a cat from 3 blocks over. Or, he hears someone arguing down the street? Or he sees dead people! 🤣

My husband has a nice bed cover for his truck and add the inside of his truck. Bed sprayed by water still goes through. Does covers just be aware I have? It's not a tub. It's gonna get wet thank you so much for sharing❤

At my house Daddy makes the money, but Mommy pays the bills. lol If I had my hubby handle the money we wouldn't have nothing, he's not good with money at all, on payday he acts like everything is no problem cause he got paid that day, I have to remind him that yes you got paid but we have this bill and this bill and also that bill, groceries and other necessities lol.
