2024 Harold Heasley Saloons - Pre78 Race 2

Race2 - P35 50sec Handicap - 6th Set of lights,
Track was very horrendously wet and the track conditions were extremely slippery with standing water everywhere after a major downpour just prior to our time on track. I have posted the whole video because of a very lazy spin on the out lap so you can appreciate how bad the track conditions were and that’s just trying to get to the grid 8-) (Sorry for the length of this post not much of interest past 12 minutes). But again once I got a feel for where it was bad also a lot of fun allowing the car to move and slide under me while being very cautious when catching and passing other cars. Got faster as confidence grew, until coming out of the hairpin on lap all the lights came on and the engine died, no major noises it just stopped. Fastest lap time in this race was 2:07.984 ! Enjoy.
Post race inspections found that it had broken the cam so its race was finished for the weekend, very disappointing for a new engine but hopefully just teething problems.
