Because LR biased the vehicle towards towing over offroadability, they put big brakes which in turn hinders you from using smaller wheels (16"s) and meatier tires. @@ramudithadesilva8547 Aye, this is hardly a prelude to off-roading. I've never seen Aussies driving Range Rovers, what Shauno and his cohorts do in the wild wilderness with Patrols and Cruisers is beyond the ken of Land Rovers. Most of the Land Rovers are complete junk and money pits in the name of off-roading vehicles.
Nice to See Landrovers Working,I Got in a Brand New Range Rover at One of these Offroad Events And Was Pleased to Get in the Front Seat,Upon Setting Off the Driver Said After Moving 1 Foot !!!!!Its Broken You Will Have To Get Out.
I wouldn't mind doing this but without the instructor. Don't get me wrong he's a nice fella but I rather I did it myself as that's part of the challenge
Would be good but they’d never give a random person a car of that value when it can be damaged in that environment so easily. Would be nice to have a bit more of a play though definitely
The reason they don't is because very very few people who own newer LR fit off road tyres. And the point is, that the vehicle you drive on these experiences is exactly what you'd have at home. Most will have all weather tyres fitted. Not all terrain, all-weather / all seasons. A little more reliable in slippery conditions, but where every LR does 99.9% of it's travelling, it outdoes an all terrain by a long way - acoustically and grip.
We have an orange color one, in the HSE luxury trim, and it’s not that comfy compared to our bmw X7 M50i. The front seats are great with memory foam, but are a bit stiff, and the rear seats are hard, and reclining is a joke. Looks are wonderful, but it’s under-power (340hp) and the steering is heavy, also you know you are driving a big heavy vehicle, while the X7 M50i feels more stable and lighter, but all 4 wheels steer, and it has 560hp (actual hp) so it adds stability that the discovery won’t have. We got it as a toy for off-roading, and so far so good. We love the looks, the two sunroofs, the color, the beautiful materials, and the fun to go on hills. As for warranty, bumper to bumper warranty is a must. Also, gas mileage is a joke. We get around 10-13 mpg, our X7 gives us 15-20.
@@plantpower3048 Well, get ready to laugh even harder than before. I bought it with no warranty! LOL All jokes aside, it has impeccable service records and looks flawless inside and out. I done the all day course on a one to one plus go-pro filming last october 2019 it was an awesome day it had been raining for a few days before but the sun came out on my day and i was in a disco too lots of mud and water just awesome
Gosh it would be amazing defeat some smaller Wheels with way taller tires and then air those ones down. I can see those Wheels almost touching the rocks. Take that disco down to the desert and Arizona and climb some of the Jeep trails that would shred those tires open almost immediately. Not to mention way too bumpy not being able to air those down much. Being someone who drives a discovery 2 with 33s that I may I air down I know the dramatic difference of even those 33s being firm or soft so I can't imagine how wonderful that advanced Discovery Sport off-road system would feel with some thick rubber underneath if it does that good with low profile tires
When you went in the water did any water get in the suv I’m asking because I live in Texas and I have drove my discovery in a small flood wasn’t so deep maybe above the rim and water got in. I got through it but the floor of the interior was soaked.
Absolutely that's what I was thinking! Also if you take those low-profile tires and drive them on a rocky Jeep Trail over here in the desert and Southern Arizona here in the USA and those tires will be popped instantly and the rims will be scratched. Knowing just how dramatic the traction and the ride increases when you air down bigger tires on something older like my disco 2, I can't imagine how much greater a new Land Rover would feel on the proper tires and wheels with low air
Two thing you need to know if you are not a good driver. Know you vehicle firs if is FWD or RWD or AWD or 4x4WD then make sure you have the best tire for you weather conditions you should be fine driving in any weather conditions as long you know your vehicle And have good tires
