Early in your review, you used the word "Brilliant", which really clicked because that's the title of another excellent song from Shinedown. During this song, you probably noticed the overlay of the "get up, get up, get a move on", that was a sample from another one of their terrific songs, "Get Up", which I also highly recommend.

Shinedown is lead singer Brent Smith, guitarist Zach Myers, bassist Eric Bass and drummer Barry Kerch. The band has been around for about 20 years. They currently have the most #1 songs on the active rock charts.
I have seen them quite a few times and met them while shooting photos of their shows (I'm a photographer for a radio station)
Alot of their songs deal with mental health awareness. They take mental health issues seriouly as Eric has dealt with issues for many years. In the video, the guy with the dreadlocks is Barry Kerch the drummer. The guy on the piano is Zach Myers and the guy skipping around & on the small drum is bassist Eric Bass.
They are amazing.

Brent, the lead singer is an interesting case. Great voice, super talented. They kinda got real famous, real fast, and suffered the worst case scenario because of that, the usual pitfalls. I haven't heard a lot of their recent stuff, but they've gained a lot of character in their writing. Great song, great reaction!
Yes, and yes again. I have heard of Shinedown, but my 50 year gap in popular music made me go look them up. They have a long history, so, hopefully, we will hear more. The message of this song is so on point. And your statement at the end was so true. There is so much to see in this wide world. Number one, yes, travel as much as you can. Seeing and interacting with people in other cultures is so very enlightening. And, even around your own area, doing the little things, just be aware of what is going on around you. Ask questions, use every opportunity to learn something new. Don't take so many pictures, build memories instead. They'll last you a whole lot longer.

Shinedown! The G-BOAT! Brent Smith is a legend in his own time! They’ve never made a bad song. I think probably my all time favorite is “The Crow and the Butterfly,” but it’s hard to choose just one! Check out their latest album Planet Zero. It has quite the message!
