I have been to Ho Tong, only the lower/front part of the village; didn't cross the walkway above railroad and see other part on the hillside. That was really beautiful. As for the railroad that goes through Ho Tong, villages along the railroad were built on coal mining purposes. It's crowded with people during summer, almost impossible to get in a train if you want to go for a visit. I guess it's easier during this time of the year.

Loved this. I went to Houtong at the behest of my cat-loving family. And I didn't regret it. Just fantastic to find a cat paradise on earth!

I would recommend crossing the bridge! Lots of nice cafés although I guess in summer they would be packed! It was chilly but I'm so glad I went then!
