Bought an used 2019 SEL with 32k miles. Noticed tranny was slipping gears. Dealer replaced torque converter, valve body and new fluid at 38k miles under warranty. It shifts perfectly now. The ride is amazing and quiet, seats are incredibly comfortable. Best Ford SUV in my opinion.
Love this informative review mactfordedge. I check your vids because its very similar to my 2019 fusion se awd 2.0 ecoboost. Luckily I got adaptive cruise control and push button start on a lower end model. I have no issues so far, brakes even fine after 47k miles. I have not run an oil test, because the shop does the changes, but I do smell gas when smelling the oil dipstick. Since I can't change my own I shoot for 5k miles, hoping gas levels aren't extreme....idk
Our 2020 Titanium has been going strong. It has right about the same miles. We have not had to have anything replaced under warranty. I've been doing oil changes at 5k and haven't noticed any gas intrusion but I haven't had it tested.
I bought 2014 ford limited-2 edge back on 2015 , and it served me very well till 2023 ( drove 220, 000 km ) Then it started to open its MOUTH and i had to replace the following major parts ; - PTU ( actually i had the choice just to disable it as long as im using the car in normal rod ) ..cost around $1500 including labor work . - Drive shaft ..cost $1500 . - AC evaporator ...cost $ 600 with labor . other stuff i still say it is one of the best economic cars i ever had
I've got a 2017 edge with 43,000 Miles on it. I was driving on the highway in the rain the other day and the fabric along with the metal skid plate underneath came loose. Thankfully I pulled over next to a rogue bungee cord on the road so I used it to try to hold up the skid plate so it wasn't dragging on the asphalt making a hellava noise. I finally limped home and fixed it. I hope that's the only thing I have to do for a while
Yep love my 2011 SEL that packs a Port and polished flow tested intake, Magna flow exhaust and 3.7 Duratec running 18 inch tires Plenty of off the line torque making it faster than a regular sport.
I am not a big fan of the 2.0 ecoboost although my parents have a ‘16 that has been trouble free so far. 🤞🏻 I absolutely love my gen 2 (‘15 3.5 sel awd) and I believe it is superior to the gen 1.5 due to the improved cargo room and suspension upgrades. I am replacing shocks/struts @ 162,000 miles only because I’m putting new tires on and feel that it’s only a matter of time. however, it still drives like new and there are no visible leaks from the shocks or struts. Everything is tight.
I have a 2019 edge titanium with 74 k miles and in the process of replacing the rear differential which started making noise when turning right from a stopping point. Overall the car has done well
I love my 2017 ford edge 2.0 eco boost titanium has 169,000 miles haven’t had any serious issues just brakes and oil changes, but I am having the water sloshing noise and can’t find the A/C drain hose to see if it’s clogged?
I have the 2019 titanium with everything but the self parking and the cool seats. The only issue I had with this car is the no hands hatch release did not work. They fixed it but I still feel like it could be better. The car I have has over 57000 miles on it and I still am discovering stuff on this car that I did not know it could do.
Hey there Macte, I've enjoyed your segments for sometime now.. In February, 2020, we traded our 13' Edge, w/3.5 for our 19' Edge, 2.0 Titanium. I've been doing about 3500 to 4500 on the oil changes. I did the PTO fluid at 35,000, w/Mobile one synthetic. It's at 46,000 now, and just had the dreaded torque converter shudder rear it's ugly head. It was pretty aggressive, from 15 to 45 mph. No codes, and would be unnoticeable from 50 mph and on. I was freaking out, as I declined the extended warranty.. Big mistake... I have a trans guy, he suggested the "shudder fix" by Lubemaster or something.. It's no fun, getting to the trans vent stub, though while cussing up a storm, I did get off, added the 10oz tube. He told, don't change the fluid, just add the "fix". To my surprise, after 20 to 30 miles, it really seems to be helping.. Shes gone about 300 miles so far.. My trans guy, said it's not worth it, to change the converter, I'd be a trans swap, if it comes back, get worse than just the shudder again.. I'm a life long for guy, with many other classic Fords.. It very disheartening though, and now considering a trade in, and going with a Venza, before the symptoms return. Can't believe I'm say that !!!! Take care brother....

This video makes me love my 2014 Sport even more, love that 3.7L V6

There is a Ford Service Bulletin on that EGR problem warning to not mistake the symptoms for anything internal and more serious.

At 84K on my 2019 2.0 EB, nothing but oil changes every 5K and tires
Always enjoy watching your videos and great information. Thank you

Go to MACT Ford Edge Facebook group. I just posted where it is located and where to find the hose/opening end.

Any problems with the torque converter? I have a 2020, I have to replace the torque converter, will do the repairs myself this weekend
Did I miss an episode where you fixed the auto-stop feature? What did you do? Please.

I hate those ecoboost engines.Give me a less powerful V6 anyday, better yet a V8.😊
What am I going to do when the wet belt driving the oil pump in my 2.7 breaks. No oil pressure, no engine bearings. Catastrophe!
The same thing I will do with my 3.5 TT Ecoboost. Install a new engine in the Explorer sport.
@@MACTFordEdge Ain’t gonna happen. I’ll park the piece of 💩 and abandon it. I won’t pour money into it, as much as I like it.
PS, I still love the 2.0 Ecoboost though, and the rest of the car...
Would you use the 5W-40 in the winter?
So it hasn’t been that reliable for you
