That's right. There were videos to prove it. They were wearing masks, clubbing students, and setting off huge fireworks. Some of them were identified, and were outsiders, but none of them were arrested. Jerry Seinfeld's wife gave them $10,000, and raised a total of $100.000.

@Haseeb2Forever I did a Google search and came up with a story on NBCLA, "Jewish student recounts injury during UCLA protest," which interviewed a student identified only as "Ellen," a psychology student, who said she went there with her family during the day carrying an Israeli flag, "for our country, for Israel." Ellen and her mother said the flag was knocked to the ground, she was knocked to the ground, the protesters stomped on the flag, stomped on her, she hit her head, was unconscious, and taken to the hospital. She said she was "shaken, but is recovering," and would be going back again to protest for Israel. They had video of an interview with Ellen and her mother, but not of the incident itself. They don't mention a police report.
They describe an incident that is a bit more serious than ordinary pushing and shoving, an assault not serious enough for the police to usually prosecute, but not the kind of behavior you'd want your people to engage in at a peaceful protest. The police should have kept the two sides apart. The evening assault with clubs, fireworks, etc., which was on video, looked more violent, and they probably will prosecute it, but no one was seriously injured there either, so I wouldn't be surprised to see what in New York we would call an adjournment in contemplation of dismissal.
But this is a dangerous escalation, and it's easy to wind up like Loay Abdelfattah Alnaji, who was charged with felony unintentional homicide (up to 4 years in prison), after a confrontation with Paul Kessler, who hit his head at a pro-Palestinian demonstration in Thousand Oaks, California.

So, since Qatar is an ally as well, maybe see how much UC is invested in Qatar…likely little to none. Look up the recent history of Kerem Shalom and Rafah Gates and the food aid Israel had there waiting for the Palestinians to get them. Hamas blew up Kerem Gate, the food aid, and the guards, Israel rebuilt it, and started collecting more food for Gaza, Hamas blew it up a second time, all in three weeks time. That left the only other delivery gate, Rafah Gate, which Egypt controls and after the second destruction of the K.Shalom Gate, they announced they would be closing the Rafah Gate and not coordinating delivery with Israel. Because Israel is not the bad guy in this story, it has gotten very little exposure. So who is preventing food getting the the Gazans????
The Palestinians /Arabs have turned down every offer to create a two state solution since 1948, 5-6 of them, including one in which the Israelis suggested instead of a 50-50 split, they would agree to an 80-20 split giving Arabs the larger portion in exchange for peace. The answer was no, because it meant co-existence and recognizing Israel. The most recent was why Cory Booker was in Israel when Hamas attacked on Oct. 7th, breaking a ceasefire. It was a deal between the Israelis and Saudis for a two state solution for the Palestinians, and was making progress. That's why Hamas attacked. If there was a solution no more need for UNRWA to exist, no more huge aid packages for Hamas to steal. Couldn't have that.....And because of the savage nature of the attack, I think it'll be hard to have a two state deal now. Would you want to live next to people who in their original charter, article 7, call for your ending, and then acted it out in part, and have sworn to do it again? Would you sleep soundly?

If you are visibly Jewish, you are harassed. 4. Not a g-side: Creating safe zones for civilians to go. The war will end the SECOND that Hamas surrenders and hostages are returned! If they wanted a g side, there wouldn’t be conditions to end the war! Many cease fire deals have been turned down by Hamas! In WW2 Jews were not given an option to survive. Hamas and civilians attacked Israel, Israel did not start this war. Hamas’ charter is a gen0c1dal one, not Israel! Ms. Bonamici’s was the most productive I agree that attacking the presidents on antisemitism doesn’t do any good. Also, UCR’s population does not represent the rest of these Universities one might argue that UCR doesn’t have a big Jewish influence like the rest which is why it was able to come to an agreement

Well, they are both Jewish and from New York, and he obviously is against anti-Jewish bigotry, but he also supports students to have different political views and same for the faculty, but that's not acceptable to some politicians.

University presidents being summoned to testify at congressional hearings and subsequently subjected to harsh treatment is not only degrading to the dignity of these esteemed individuals but also to the United States as a whole. This type of bullying by professional politicians towards university leaders demonstrates a disturbing level of insolence and ignorance within the political class of our country. It undermines the respect and autonomy that educational institutions should be afforded and highlights a worrying trend of political interference in academia. This behavior, characterized by a lack of decorum and a failure to engage in constructive dialogue, reflects poorly on the values and intellectual standards we expect from our leaders. The spectacle of university presidents being chastised in such a public and humiliating manner serves no constructive purpose and only serves to erode the respect for both our educational institutions and the political process.

Holding them to account is a congressional duty.
These Campus presidents are in clear violation of the Clery Act. They should be summarily dismissed and funding should be pulled.
