The song where Key was wearing a Girl Power tank top and you thought it sounded like it must be some of SHINee's "early on" music was a comeback stage for their new song "View," which was released in 2015. SHINee debuted in 2008, so this was not one of their early songs. "View" is what introduced deep house style music to the Kpop industry. And most of those songs where you thought it sounded very '80s and '90s was because that is exactly what it was supposed to sound like. In 2016 SHINee released their 1 of 1 album, which was designed to have a '90s theme. Therefore, all the songs on the album were retro style, which is why their outfits were also retro style. SHINee are also one of the most popular artists in Japan, so whenever they hold a concert or event in Japan almost the entire concert is in Japanese. Pretty much all of those Japanese songs you heard were from their Japanese concerts. All the SHINee members are also fluent in Japanese because they spend almost 50% of their careers in Japan. They have just as many Japanese albums as they do Korean and they don't just remake their Korean songs in Japanese, a large part of their Japanese discography is songs that are released exclusively for their Japanese fans.
I hope that your ears are cleansed. SHINee is always best. It’s rare to find 5 very talented individuals in 1 group. 5 solo artists. (Minho is releasing his album in December.) And yes, I have also never seen another kpop idol singing opera. Onew just did it for a solo perf in their concert.

Kpop of today was build on shoulders of Shinee. Whatever styling, music direction, trend you ever heard or saw in kpop for last 16 years was set up by these 5 increadible artists. Shinee was first group to release dance practice and set a trend, they were first group to always sing live while dancing, they have the hardest and most expensive choreos in history in kpop till today, awards shows needed to set a limit on how many times a group can win best comeback to 3 times after Shinee won 4 times in a row and set a record, they have best debut song "Replay" in kpop history book till today, their songs like "Ring Ding Dong" was prohibited during exam sessions because it was so addictive students couldn't concentrate, they have best harmonies in kpop and strongest vocalists that can substitute each member in case of injury and keep same strong vocals and sound of the song. Shinee till today holds status of "Idols of the Idols" and princes of kpop because so many young Idols joined kpop label having Shinee and Taemin especially as their example and inspiration. In the west most people do know BTS due to their heavy promotion, no doubt they are very talented and deserve their success, but if you ask any person in Asia who is the most legendary group in kpop you won't hear anyone else except Shinee, they are living legends rocking the stage for last 16 years, coming stronger and even more successful with each comeback ❤
Please review Ring Ring dong! I love that song! It picks me up everyday! The reason why they're able to do all this is because they're healthy and determined. Big does not mean stronger. Slender use less energy than us that are more muscular.

They used to have another channel for kpop reactions, now they're reuploading all their old reactions from there here, on their main channel. I've asked them to label old reactions somehow, but I guess they don't want to, since they get more views this way

What bothers me about your critiques are that you are critiquing old performances. They debuted in 2008 as an experimental group and their genre is Contemporary R&B. Jonghyun died December 2017 but I have yet to see you critique on the group after this time. They are a four man group for years now. Onew is the leader and lead singer. Minho is the rapper and visual. There are far too many people critiquing this group. They did their first ever hip hop song in 2021 which was Don't Call Me. People will compare them to BTS and EXO but BTS debuted in 2013 and EXO 2014 and most of these guys look up to them. SHINee was performing long before either of these groups. As for the clothing they wear, they had a designer but Key took that job over. Not sure if he still does that or not. They were called Trend Setters. But they have been a four man group over five years. Please label what you are watching as original group and present group. They were scheduled to have a comeback this year but now that HYBE took over SM Entertainment, not sure what will happen. Taemin will be out of the military anywhere from early March to April 4. NO one knows for sure. The group's musical impact in their native country has earned them numerous accolades and the title "Princes of K-pop". Only reason they aren't as well known in the west is they weren't being promoted there, like the US. Taemin is also in Super M too and all SHINee members have solo careers that are doing well. No one can dance better than Taemin in the K-POP industry. Only one that even comes close to him is JHope and they have different styles. I know people talk about Jimin but he trained in contemporary dance so at times he is a little choppy and not that clean. Taemin scored by a computer at 94+ and Jimin scored in the 70s beneath Kai. Ten was number 3. I like all these people but my ultimate bias group is SHINee, the best of the best. IMO.
