GIRLLL! Mad respect honestly, my first day of 8th grade I was literally wearing a tye die tshirt and jeans, barely brushed my hair, and didn't even think of makeup- I was quite literally just surviving, not thriving.

But for me I'm starting 7th grade after this summer and like there's some people I know in my new school and some people from other schools since my old school only had grades up to 6. If I were in 5th grade then jt'd be exiting because I could get to act as if quote 'last year' wasn't literally 2 months ago, hence 'new chapter'.
@@sprite419 some ppl have social anxiety. First days can be nerve racking. Adjusting to a new year can be difficult. Plus middle schoolers are mostly very judgmental.
FR even tho I'm excited to meet new people and everything, Im still having an anxiety attack. 😭

For everyone going into their first year of high school!
I was as nervous as you, nervous about the bus, finding my classes etc. Just like the basic things to worry about. But some things that helped
- bring earbuds if you ride the bus, very helpful, starts your morning off with a bang if you listen to music, podcast or watch your favorite show
- if you didn't have a map beforehand most likely you can get a map at the front desk that you can route out your classes
- if you know there is someone there that you know then try to find them or meet up
- dress casual but fitting because everyone goes all out on the first day then the rest of the year nobody cares but it's still good to have a first impression
-if you are scared of making friends, your first period, find someone that looks around your age. Talk to them, try to speak conversation because they are most likely as scared as you
-don't buy too much supplies beforehand unless you already got a list given to you. Just get a folder, a notebook, and a few writing utensils till you have your syllabus for each class
- when it comes to studying or a huge amount of work, ask for extra credit if you know you might be late for am assignment
- ^ middle school says high school won't tolerate late work but most of the time they don't care of are too lazy to remember so when you turn it in a lot of the time they count it for something
- studying once again, find a study busy for your class, ask to bring textbooks home, use quizlet or games, flash cards. I know writing things down in my own words and reading it over on my time has helped so much. And if it's vocab memorize it in sections because remebering it all at once takes a lot longer but remember, stick to what works for you
- when it comes to big tests, before then, don't miss out on asking for after school tutoring or lessons to go over, they will probably tell you what to study for and really study with you during class but honestly they will make it super hard so just warning you that, but in reality the tests are easier. Like I SUCKED at biology and got a 5 on the test and idk if it's everywhere but where I am 5 is the highest

tysm! this is rlly helpful! i’m starting highschool in like a month and i’m nervous that i’m not gonna have time to finish all of my homework because i’m joining cross country (i’m doing the summer program rn), orchestra, piano lessons, and a youth group so i’m scared i’m not gonna finish all my homeowkr or i’ll miss out on some important stuff like all those credit things that you need to graduate. also for cross country i’m going to be having to skip periods 5 and 6 sometimes for races 😬

@@dari.08308 don't worry, it will be a lot of hard work but I also took piano and had ap classes and such so it wasn't easy but working hard pays off. You will do great and I love cross country! So fun even tho it kills me sometimes in training

@evil monster depends where you live, at least here in Finland it isn't a threat, many women walk alone outside at night and nothing happens

My school starts at 8:45 but we’re expected to be there 15-20 mins beforehand. I CANT REMEMBER WHERE ANYTHING IS 😭😭

Finish! Here’s my school morning routine
4:30- wake up, I also try to make my bed(sometimes I DONT😳) and I use the bathroom, say hi to my parents, check time , etc. I get dressed , then I go to the bathroom to do skincare, brush hair , etc. by the time it’s around 6:00, I eat breakfast. After that, I brush my teeth. At near 7:00 I pack my lunch, pack my backpack, etc. at 8:00 school starts so I leave at about 7:40 or 7:30!
After school, at about 3:00 pm , i sanitize (obviously) and get on comfy clothes (my pajamas:) then I enjoy the rest of my day and read a tad too! At night, I eat dinner first at 6:00. I plop in the shower after I eat. Then I do skincare, brush teeth, and brush and do my hair, and that’s it . I try to sleep as much as possible because in the week days I only get 6-7 hours of sleep.

I’ve been watching a lot of these types of videos. In 4 days is my first day of middle school. I’m so nervous for 6th grade. It’s going to be so different. My classes are all over the place too. I stay in 6th grade hall most of the time but I start at jazz band and (it actually starts 10 min before school does😭) it’s on the whole other side of the building. I also have band later in the day, same room. And then a class in the 8th grade hall..
