I have that Elbox case with an A1200 in it. I think they called it the mediator case. The riser to add the pci slots are so expensive though. Only if I could get my GVP 040 side car for my A500 fixed. It has a bad SCSI chip. I also have the chip mounted on a SCSI board from an A2000 that could be used.

Funny that you say this, because I think Commodore made a mistake with the serial numbers and there are quite some serial number 1 amiga's here in the Netherlands. They pop up on the local eBay site every now and they, so they are not as special as you would think.

I had a 1200 in a Elbox case back in the day, was fully kitted out with a mediator and so on. We just called them power towers then.
