  • This is a great beautiful solo from a great song of a GREAT band.. It's in the key of A# Lydian. I have blocked my tremolo system so I didn't use the whammy bar, trying to get away with bends instead. Reb Beach rocks!!!

I tried my best to "mimic" the tone from the original record, its amazing and spacious. I added delay (L 450ms, R 900ms) and a slight 1800ms long reverb with 25% of mix volume. have you heard the original song?

oh sure :D i always use reverb when i play cause i like 80th music and u can't play 80th without reverb :) ... besides tho i like your tone in all of your videos it's very nice i hope i see u on stage soon ! :D looking forward to it ;) .... hey can u cover the Flight Of The Bumble Bee ???

my guitar in standart E tuning. The tuning for this song i believe is Eb (just like the whole album). So its actually A lydian, if u retain the chord positions. However, instead of tuning my guitar down a half step, i just played along, using standart tuning. So its A# lidian.
The enterring riff is F and G power chords. then D#7M, Dm7. that is if u play using standart tuning. anyway, it sounds just like F and G.
u know, i think i will be doing the video and cover this solo, show how to play it.

That major 7 D# to Dm7 move is so awesome in the main riff--NO ONE was really doing that kind of thing in mainstream metal/rock songs at the time. Say what you will about their marketing and image when they came out, but it's undeniable that the songwriting was a bit ahead of its time.

Can you please help me I cant find any good tabs for this song :-( You said the solo is in A# lydian so is your tuning D-standard then? Also can you help me with the Chorus/intro powerchords are those E and F# (the first chords you hear on the song)??
