  • Made in America and the quality shows. I forgot to cover the assembly, but YOU WILL NEED 2 PEOPLE, A COUPLE STIFF DRINKS, AND A LITTLE PATIENCE. However, if you prepare by having your Pinball X pre-setup, then you should be up and running within the hour (maybe 2).
    This thing is described in one word... Awesome! This is probably the best addition to our family game room to date. People of all generations love pinball, and this is the first thing they run to once they see it.
    You won't be disappointed in this project.

    Two questions - did you have any issues with b2s back glass? I can't get any of mine to work for some reason. The other one is did you have any issues running vpinmame games and adding coins? Took me a while to get around it, but the default keyboard assignments for the controller didn't match up.

    I bought the Insignia television recommended by RecRoom masters. Big issue I'm having is the 32 inch TV vesa mount holes do not line up with the ones the cabinet expects it to have. I can mount it by using the first vent slits. Seems the predrilled ones are designed for a much smaller television. Did you run into this issue and if so what did you do to solve this?

    Got this coming - running into a similar issue of being able to find the TV that is recommended - there's virtually no 40" TV's with the 21x35.75 dimension the playfield is. Guess we need to look at 39" TV's? Anyone have success with a 40" that isn't the insignia?

    • @HomeArcadeSystems
      @HomeArcadeSystems  6 лет назад

      John Memeo I would not go with the 39 in. Look around on Amazon or somewhere else. Just about any 40-inch TV will work the one that I purchase was a little bit too large so I had to drill a hole in the side but I usually covered it up. That one inch will make a huge difference

    • @hawkeyez888
      @hawkeyez888 6 лет назад

      Thanks for the fast reply! I'm assuming TV's with the larger sensors on the bottom is what messes up the dimensions? www.amazon.com/Sceptre-X415BV-FSR-1080p-Black-Model/dp/B0753VKK41/ref=sr_1_4?s=tv&ie=UTF8&qid=1523652772&sr=1-4&keywords=40%22+TV
      That's the closest I've found to their recommended dimensions.

    • @HomeArcadeSystems
      @HomeArcadeSystems  6 лет назад

      John Memeo you're exactly right. It's the ones with the sensors at the bottom but I think the one that you found will work perfectly. You're going to really like it once you get it put together assuming you already have a pinball set up ready to go. Otherwise you'll be spending weeks getting that running

    Hey Chris, random question. I purchased Dr Who for Pinball Arcade on streak for $9.99 for my wife (her favorite show) but it wont let me play it cabinet mode without a key. I reached out to arcooda and they're telling me I have to purchase their entire package for $149 to get cabinet support even though that's the only game I want. Do you know anything about this and whether there are any workarounds? Thanks

  • @knightrdrx

    They just removed the samsung 6300 tv from their 4k customer suggested tv because they said people were having problems with it fitting. But there's a new model now the 7100. it is only .1 and .2 inches shorter. not sure if that will make a difference. if i can't 4k .it's a deal breaker. and virtuapin is $500+ more. as long as it fits i don't care if it's a pain.

    I'm currently putting together RecRoom's 27" arcade and will probably get one of these pinball machines down the road. Is it possible to adjust the height of the monitor? I don't like the big gap between the screen and the glass. Or can you angle the screen more towards the player?

    Hey Chris, I have an old Dell that i'm not using and an extra 750ti graphics card. The problem is that because the Dell case is so small it requires a low profile graphics card and my 750ti is regular sized. So I was wondering when I do my virtual pinball machine down the road, if I could just not use a computer case (like yours) and just have everything open and just use my regular sized 750ti instead of a low profile one (since the Dell case is too small)? Also, are there any cons to not having everything in a case back there? Thanks

    You had this up in an hour...? You must be a God.. Took 15 plus hours with power tools, pieces didn't fit. Absolute nightmare. Bought the suggested insignia tvs as well and would not suggest that either as you'll have to take apart the top to connect and hook up back glass and hdmi is on side not bottom. .. I have yet to get it running as I'm setting up my tables. Magnet bar didn't fit either as the wood is too long and needs 1/4 inch removed for bat to come down. Looks nice overall. Kind of confused about which software to use. Have a kinect I want to hook up with it but looks like only future pinball works with it. Anyone cool out there have some advice... Visual pinball, future, pinball x?

    • @HomeArcadeSystems
      @HomeArcadeSystems  7 лет назад

      I have to agree with you that getting the cabinet put together is a freaking nightmare. However after I called a few friends over we had it put together literally in about 1 hour. As you noticed in my review could not get my TV to fit so I had to drill a hole in the side of the cabinet. My magnetic bar also felt a little short however after we squeeze the cabinet together properly it went in just fine. If it's not properly fitting then something's off somewhere.

    Hey Chris, I apologize if this sounds like an odd question but regarding the controller board that the table comes with, if you wanted to could you install a plunger right below or right to the right of the launch ball? I was looking at the virtuapin plunger setup or zebsboards. Or would you prefer the DIY version of the recroommasters if I wanted to add a plunger and if so, what would you recommend to connect the buttons (i.e. ipac mini)? Thanks

I would love to get all of the backglass images that you have if you could point me to it. I have found some, but the repository I found was made in 2013 so some of the newer ones like Star Wars: Rogue One and others for Pinball FX are not there.
    Also, I have seen people have video backglass, but as best as I can tell, this doesn't work out of the box.
    Lastly, I really want to have a plunger. Since you have the unit in hand, how easy/hard would it be to replace the launch button with a plunger OR to add a plunger in its place. Lots more questions about your full setup, but I will start with these since I will probably make the purchase as soon as I can roadmap my long-term upgrade plans.
