My name is Albert Chambers jr. And my dad Albert Chambers Sr. way part of The Dappers. Some guy from a label came by my parents house a few years ago to ask if my dad was interested in doing a renewal of the group. My dad just laughed and said" I'm too old for that!" It was nice of them to ask.
Nice song. Mellow and smooth. The Peacock and Duke labels produced some great groups and singers like the Rob Roys, Johnny Ace, Bobby Bland, James Booker and these guys back when Houston was barely a dot on the map. Producer Don Robey was a genius. Imagine what he could have done in a major recording center like NY, LA or Chicago.
Sounds like the background music is playing to a different song.. The group would've sounded better without them... That's my opinion, anyway.57 years to late, now.

Good one.
What a tune! I discover it! Retro music is far away the inspiration of today's creation!
