    8:30 Sir... we all could. I'm above average with a torch. Issac makes me look like I lit my first torch yesterday. That man is a machine. At least I can weld as good... but his torch skills are something.

    A much improved video, no music and speech is fine. You can't help background noise and it doesn't intrude much. I enjoy repair videos watching something that a lot of people would scrap come back to life as a useful object. Can't wait for part two.

    Had never heard of a "Magic Eye Cutter" but boy, what a machine that is. Draw something up on card and hey presto, the tilly lamp wanders up and down the drawing whilst the torch does it's biz.. Just love watching these videos and thoroughly enjoy seeing a skilled fabricator so focused on getting it right and on price..

    Appreciate the benefit of your thinking about process / order of operations - well done ! Now, Isaac and his torch - sets a high bar that man. One thing I’ve noticed and adopted myself is his habit of going through the full motion of the cut in advance to check hand and torch positioning - definitely eliminates / reduces potential tight spots and “unforced errors”. Maybe basic stuff, but has helped me quite a bit.

    Good start to your bucket repair. Amazes me how people just do repair and then cannot get access for the pin maintenance later on. I liked the bit about ic weld made me laugh. He did a repair on a cat 360 digger arm. He bevelled a piece of plate and said clean it with grinder or maybe not. It was cut so clean it didn't need any grinding. He is God's gift to torch cutting and more. You deserve the work you are getting no cutting corners with you very good honest repairs. Look forward to part two thanks ruth.

  • @DavidSellars-b8l
    @DavidSellars-b8l Год назад +1

    Your machine torch cuts look very good. Suggest increasing your travel speed maybe 10%. Watch the edge for excess melting. Increase speed until the edge looks crisper. Running the around the plate first with the flame lit but not cutting will give a bit of preheat and pop off some of the scale and rust. The line burner has some serious leakage around the base of the tip. Thinking you are not using the correct tip for the torch.

    Three observations Always preheat. run the flame across the steel at cutting speed without cutting oxygen on.
    Try a 1/8 nozzle for cutting out bent parts and bevel cutting by hand.
    Bolt a 1” plywood board 18”x18” to the drill press.
    I’m impressed by the kit & workshop you have. How did you come by it all. Inherited? Purchase ? I hope you change enough. I enjoyed the work but was also under paid & taken for granted. I moved to FE welding lecturer . Do something about the seating nozzle flame it can cause over heating problems.

    I don't know if others have my problem with music on RUclips, but for me, every time the dialog stops for a few seconds on all videos, YT cranks the music up full power and nearly blasts me out of my chair. I'm at the point where I keep the pointer on the volume bar and switch back and forth, which is a real PIA. You bet....leave it off.....don't need it.
