I’ve had this guy tune dozens of exotics for our shop over the last few years and we haven’t had a single engine issue. Including my own R8 that has 100K+ miles and still runs like a gem

@hdtuning which factory cars have the most power stock over what the manufacturer claims? I believe all of the forced induction sports cars and super cars have more power stock than what the manufacturer claims.
@@richardtodorov Every manufacturer changed how they measure horsepower. Back in the day you bought a 500hp car you'd see low 400s at the wheels. now 500 hp is 480+ at the wheels. I was told it was because of insurance in Europe, rather than improvement in drivetrain loss. You'll see that across every brand I imagine as they are competing with each other. Happened in the early 2010's for most brands.
@ I speculated because of insurance as well, similar to how many manufactures keep displacement under 2,000 cc, 3,000 cc, 4,000 cc etc., to avoid higher insurance and registration costs categorized by displacement. Also, they are competing and marketing their performance metrics, they achieve most of them in real world conditions, just not with the horsepower and torque they claim.
Matt is the man, I had a eurocharged tune on my S65 that felt like garbage it was embarrassing, ghost check engine lights and 4-6k rpm it was totally flat, I sent my ecu to Matt and he found tons of tons of codes deleted, to keep warning lights off. Matt returned it to stock then put his tune on, night and day is putting it lightly, immediately it sounded different and the power was unbelievable. HD is the only tuner I recommend and will use.

LOL. Beating around the bush... Everyone knows MEngineering blows up tons of mclarens. They destroyed Tavarish's 675LT motor on video... Savage Garage's old grey 720s motor too, jacked up Hamilton Collection's Senna motor, blew up a gold 675LT from MSL performance at 1/2 mile event in the UK and blew up tons of unknown rich guys McLarens on top of that. Just one example -ruclips.net/video/WK1NysX0ubs/видео.htmlsi=1oY5Gj7upiKG12Yl&t=301 And DME tuning (White lable M tune I believe) blew up Streetspeed717s green 720s on video and Gintani blew up DDEs 720s on video, rebuilt it, blew it up again and are rebuilding it yet again lol... But yeah. MEngineering blows the most Mclarens up, espesially with their e85 map switch flame tune BS. There you go. I said it for you Matt. You're welcome
Yep! this is true, we have personally seen several cars he has tuned and blown up. Everyone in AZ knows this guys reputation of bad tunes. Ask the local Mclaren dealer how many!!! LOL!! He is a con artist! These guys are Clowns.
Hardware will give you gains without a tune.. downpipes, especially. It's removing restriction in the exhaust. Not all hardware will of course, but saying no hardware will give gains without a tune is just plain false.
Yes and no. As a general rule, you are right on many cars they will but torque limits in the ecu/tcu will close the throttle or pull timing if power increases too much.
@@DevonTK707 modern ecus will correct the power output, that's what I talked about. If you came to the Dyno with me and we Dynod a new car before and after downpipes, and it makes anything outside of Dyno error I will give you 10000 dollars. If you are wrong you buy me lunch
@hdtuning if I had another car I wanted to remove the cats on I would be down, lol. Don't want your money, but on any car I have ever seen have the cats deleted has gained 20+ hp. My whipple mustang gained 50.
@@DevonTK707 I see where you're coming from. Domestic cars and JDM, downpipes and intake will make power on their own. For European cars, that changed around 2010. The ecus of an e46 m3 or an e55 were like domestic car ecus at the time, any mod made power, fuel was open loop at wot, and it was a better era for tuning. Since then they have evolved, if we Dyno a car and run 10.0 AFR or 14.7, car makes the same power. The advanced torque modeling is great for emissions and consistent power but very tricky to tune. I'm talking about European cars specifically as that's my niche.
