I think your rear floor can be modified to have another layer of floorboards like a drawer storage. You can try this idea. I think you will have more space on your back and enjoy your next camping trip.😊
I personally like this idea, as well. I've seen a lot of people who have campers similar to this that have incorporated that idea as well. When done well, it will add a lot of storage space. This will also help with the setup when you reach your destination. Making it easy and efficient when it's time to set your equipment up (without constantly having to shift equipment around during the setup). I really love his knife and cutting board setup.

I would recommend a square sheet that clips on all side and overhangs the rood edge by a foot, to stop rain from being able to get through the corners when the sides are up, apart from that this is perfect
