yeah they celebrate the Gauls... yet if ye check where Chrigel`s folk influence is coming from... well he will tell ye his fave band is The Bothy Band from Ireland... much of their folksy stuff is co-oped from insular celtic traditional jigs and reels. Then there also are some bretonic elements too, such as Andro, Inis Mona (about a welsh island), and this tune. By the way, Eluveitie is an Etruscan spelling of Helvetii.

I like both versions (how could you not?) but I think this one is a bit more 'messy', which isn't something negative, though. And it's really easy to play on violin. ^^
They actually have musical roots on the Continent, as they celebrate the history of a tribe of Gauls called Helvetii by the Romans. I don't know if the word "Eluveitie" is Helvetian Gaulish or Etruscan, though.

I heard the new version first, so I liked the first version first. But this version is good too.
