I’m so sorry for that, as a black metalhead and a Catholic Christian. Some Christians tend to judge me or call me fake. Don’t worry we’re all different.
I'm Goth and christian but I agree with you. People shouldn't be so judgy. But they are. I believe that you should live and let live. I won't push my beliefs on anyone. They shouldn't shove theirs down people's throats. It's not cool. Btw love your look and stay awesome! ❤
@sol9059 , for what it's worth , the Bible also states that Jesus came to this world not to condemn but to save ( John 3:17) , and also even if Alyssa Rayn were a foe of their faith , which she's not , the Bible states that we're to love all , even those whom are our enemies ( Matthew 5: 43-47 ) . So while the Christian gospel message might be a cause for contention , it is not supposed to be a basis for showing personal contempt .
over the past two years, my 7 year old niece started asking more and more questions about why I don't go to church with her parents, who is the Goddess Athena on my phone, what my pagan necklace means, etc. my brother blew up eventually for me answering with very simple & age-appropriate answers, like "people believe in different things." he told me if i want to still keep seeing them, I need to change what I wear & never talk about anything religious, & they don't trust me anymore because they think I have an alterior motive... all i said was "people believe in different things" & "i believe in many gods," super simple stuff. i'm not going to change what i wear or answering basic questions my niece could read in a textbook, so now i'm not going to have a relationship with my brother, SIL, & 4 nieces, all because my brother & SIL are so brainwashed they can't even handle their kid learning not everyone believes what they do, it's insanity
I sure do hope that this won't happen to me . I myself am pagan , a Semitic pagan , who specifically worships Yahweh , and Asherah , as the God and Goddess respectively , but still a pagan just the same . My sister is planning on getting married sometime later this year . I would like to have an avuncular relationship with any children that she and her husband to be might have , yet they are strongly evangelical Christian , like Holiness Movement even . And though I would never try to influence the kids away from the faith they would be brought up in , I will not hide who it is I am either . And if any of them were on their own to want to decide to pursue another spiritual path , such as the one I currently follow , I would do my best to encourage and aid them , as best I could . And funny enough , if the situation were reversed , I am sure that they would have done more than just answer questions whenever asked . They would make it a point to actively share their point of view , as that is by definition what it means to be an evangelical .
Whats funny is most people like that have next to no knowledge on the Bible or Christianity as a whole. Most of them practice the exact opposite of what is preached to them. Also that womp womp edit was unexpected and damn near made me piss myself 😭
People who are like that make me ashamed to be a Christian. I just hate it when people have to cringe-ly preach their faith to people who want nothing to do with it and make the rest of us look bad.
I grew up in a southern evangelical christain church, when i came out to my community as gay, i immediately received death threats from the people i looked up to as protectors, and teachers. i was shunned by my family for being "sick" and was labled a pervert by those i trusted. I experienced constant harassment. Psychosis consumed me, i walked out into traffic prepared to die. for some reason i was not hit while running on the highway. Christains justify all their actions as good no matter the consequences, and they expect you to praise them for it. because they follow what the bible says, because according to them, the bible was written by an infinitely perfect being. But when confronted about the fact that it still was human beings that put ink to paper, they rebuke you and say oh but they were extraordinary anointed people by god himself, but this a logical fallacy. It is willfull ignorance. It is oppossitional defiance disorder. It is Hubris manifest. If god is an infinitely perfect being, like christains say, and we are not perfect beings, like christains say, then how can a human write the words of god? Exactly, Its impossible; because we are not god. Thank you. Christains also say christianity is not a religion but a relationship with jesus, thats really interesting because i thought relationships were between 2 people, me and jesus? The only solution is, IF there is a god, IF there is a jesus, you will never come to know god through any person, which means any human made religion will only lead you to human means of living. That means everything youve heard any human ever say what god is, its only their human definition of what god is, no matter how righteous they are, it is human words. SO, in the pursuit of enlightenment for christs sake, my prayer is this: IF there is a GOD/GODDESS WITNESS ME and ANOINT ME, CHOSE ME.
I’m happy you’re still here with us today and I know how hard it is growing up in a church. When I was younger we had a more spiritual church but that soon changed and we started going to mega churches and the days I decided to sit in on the adult services a couple of times and was so uncomfortable. I have religious trauma from those churches and the summer camps I went to, it was horrible. You can just feel the judgement from them even if they say they don’t judge and love everyone! I honestly don’t have a name to what I believe in, I just believe in what I believe in, however I’m no longer a Christian and will never claim that title ever again because of the trauma and the horribleness. Respect is earned not given, I don’t want religion shoved down my throat, especially Christianity, especially when they don’t actually practice what they preach and especially because they use their religion as a shield. This is not meant to put down those who are, these are just my experiences and I wish people would respect that I don’t want to be a Christian, I hate going to church, and they also don’t know the actual history most of the time! As an ex-Christian I feel like I know more about the religion than people who go to church.
@@itscc2004 "as an ex-christain i feel i know more about the religion than those that go to church." That resonates. Weve already been followers, and we experienced where that led and what that causes. The only healthy society that can exist is a free society. A society where we can chose our own values, not ones that are demanded that we uphold.
I understand how you feel, and actually grew up in a very strict Christian home. I started really having issues with that belief system at around the year 2005 I would say, maybe earlier. I no longer call myself Christian because of the way I was treated when I started being Goth, and because of the way I have seen many people treated over the years. It seems to be getting worse all the time. When I was a child, we were taught that Jesus loves and accepts everyone. Now it seems like Christians, (Not all of them), but a good majority just spend their time judging and trying to control people. I do know though, that there is actually a Christian Goth group of people, who are both, and they make it work. I'm quite a bit older than you, and even when I was married, with a son, and going to church as a Goth, I was getting judged; called a witch and who knows what else. After I got divorced and moved to another state, I found out that my ex husband's family were asking if I was still wearing black, and probably praying for me to change. When I got my first tattoo, and my soon to be ex husband found out, he said he would never look at my back again because I was going to hell! I don't think it's right to try and control people, or judge them just based on how they dress. It's hard, and I hope someday everyone is more accepting of each other regardless of how they dress or what they believe. I still think the teachings of Jesus are really loving and good, but I can't be involved in the Christian faith any longer, and am more interested in earth based spiritualities now.
I'm a goth/alt Christian from South America and I must say that these Christians who judge others like this are contradicting the Bible and giving non-Christians the wrong impression of us. I've heard a lot of people talking bad about Christians in general because of these ignorant people, and it hurts. I think a good explanation for this is the wrong way that many of us are taught about the Bible, as teachings often focus more on scaring us of going against the word than teaching the reasons why it is good for us. This creates a fear in the Christian of going to hell and makes him afraid that those he loves will go too, or people in general and it is our job to ´´ save´´ everyone. Generally, the most open-minded and kind Christians are those who study the Bible the most, while the most judgmental ones only read more out of obligation (like saying they read it so as not to think of themselves as a bad Christian) I myself don't really like going to church , because my learning method is different (I don't like sitting just listening to the pastor talk, it feels like school and not a debate that stimulates our own questions) and part of my family keeps complaining to me, thinking I'm being ´´rebellious´´ and My friends keep insisting that I keep going, but I prefer to study my way. Generally I go to be in community.
Judging is part of being a good Christian, but concept of judging others was flipped by non believers who want to change what us believe. Also judging isn't Just screaming somebody will go to hell, judging is talking to others so they understand their mistake, and thats also a form of love.
@sol9059 , how would you feel if others were to address you in like manner , in order to "correct " your " error" ? Remember that the Bible states that we are to do unto others as we would have them do unto us ( Luke 6:31) , and to speak the truth in love ( Ephesians 4:15) .

I think that most of them are not acting out of malice but rather out of desperate compassion, which unfortunately makes their evangelism approach not delicate and respectful, which should absolutely be the case. Penn Jillette pretty much sums it up perfectly: "I’ve always said that I don’t respect people who don’t proselytize. I don’t respect that at all. To me those people disrespecting you saying they are christians are simply not since one of the basic of the christianity is to love and respect people, no matter what they believe in or don't. God's love for unbelievers is not limited to words. He demonstrated his love by sending his son, Jesus Christ, to die on the cross for the sins of all. He did not came to blame and judge people, he came to show love and save us. There is enough in the bible to prove my saying, so to me, those people being mean and disrespectful to you simply don't follow the right path and should work on themselves before looking at what others do. None of us is perfect, but it's up to us to make the world a bit better by showing love and respect when we're able to, not hate and disrespect. God bless you 🙏
My reply to the Lord's Serenity Prayer: If it were God's Will for human beings to KNOW HOW to care about each other, none of this shit would be happening. Amen.

Oh man my step sister here in Norway is a christian, studying to become a FEMALE PRIEST .. and her entire life was basically all the teen shit, get boyfriend, drinking etc. Christians are THE biggest hypocrites on this planet, amongst religious groups.
Maybe I should add.... that I actually wear crosses too 😅in spite of my belief that they aren't the greatest symbol in the world. To an innocent mind they're just cool.
Christian I believe in a wonderful loving and forgiving God... BTW he will torment you in hell forever if you don't believe in him. NO CONTRADICTION HERE ??? 😮
God doesn't torment people in Hell; people actively and repeatedly reject Him, so He removes Himself from their lives, like they want Him to. This is 100% fair.
1:42 but you use saint peter cross because you believe in is testimony? or because it is ''cool'', so no you don't have the authority to use it. it is OUR symbol, the same applies to the rosary, which goths try to appropriate, which is funny because people like you would call that ''religious appropriation'' but because is catholicism it suddenly is ok. 9:39 read the whole passage please Mat 7:1-5, it is about being a hypocrite, not judging, also john 7:24. 11:47 not a single one of those comments are sending you to hell.
People , especially goths , from what I have noticed , are inclined to wear symbols , just because they like the design . For instance , I have seen a goth girl wear a yin yang pendant , though I doubt that she was Taoist . And though I personally wouldn't feel right possibly misrepresenting myself in such a manner , I don't even shave off the moustache of my beard , lest I be mistaken for Amish, given where I reside . It's a free country , and so people may wear what they want .
Boohoo. It's really not that deep and you'll live, I promise. 😂 How pathetic to think you're above all, you must have NEVER in your life made a typo or spelled a word incorrectly?

God's love for unbelievers is not limited to words. He demonstrated his love by sending his son, Jesus Christ, to die on the cross for the sins of all. He did not came to blame and judge people, he came to show love and save us. There is enough in the bible to prove my saying, so to me, those people being mean and disrespectful to you simply don't follow the right path and should work on themselves before looking at what others do. None of us is perfect, but it's up to us to make the world a bit better by showing love and respect when we're able to, not hate and disrespect. God bless you 🙏

My reply to the Lord's Serenity Prayer:
If it were God's Will for human beings to KNOW HOW to care about each other, none of this shit would be happening. Amen.
The way i got a christian app ad when i clicked on this video 💀😭😂
I just don’t understand what is so hard about not watching content that you don’t want to see. 🤷🏻♀️ watching TikTok or anything really is entirely voluntary, people.
I have a question I've been listening to goth bands for years now, I'm 16 but I still feel like I'm not a proper goth, plus I listen to a lot of Deftones which doesn't help, I feel like an imposter do you have any advice for that
Goth is a music based subculture if u listen to the music ur goth and if anyone else says ur not then they r wrong
Exactly
I understand your a gorgeous goth woman🖤and yes I know what it's like to be judged I am a black man and I can tell when people is judging me to tho I like gothic white women and all but I also know all gothic people is not evil👿even when i go to church I know some people will reject being friends with me btw friendships and a romantic relationship is when I talk to a girl who have no fashion I just know that she will reject and yes I have a fashion greaser cuz that's who I am I may have one Leather Jacket for now but I will get more soon so yeah I know what it's like and ofc i'm still single so everywhere I go I feel I get judged to but I actually support goth btw I am a new sub
SMITTEN with al the Jack Skellington minis in the background 😂 It's distracting me.....
when ever i go live on TikTok i get a lot of you need Jesus or Jesus loves you when i don't believe in god or religion
I dont want to repeat myself, but best way is not giving attention.
Cancel * but close enough 💀
Womp womp 😂
That is also not a satanic cross, there isn't really one
Could you please clarify what you mean by Christians? Christianity is a big umbrella.
She means the whole of Christian’s
She means Christians that can’t let other people live different lives and believe in other things
Womp womp

Jesus said do not judge according to appearance but judge with righteous judgment
It's spelled *cancel*. The last thing we need is outsiders thinking we are uneducated. 🤦
I don’t think it’s that serious I made the thumbnail at like 5am it’ll be ok
@@alyssarayn It is "that serious" when your actions cause embarrassment to the subculture.
Ur reaction to a typo is an embarrassment
@@alyssarayn *your
Boohoo. It's really not that deep and you'll live, I promise. 😂 How pathetic to think you're above all, you must have NEVER in your life made a typo or spelled a word incorrectly?
It's CANCEL, not cancle. Way to make the rest of us Goths look ignorant. How embarrassing. Save that garbage for the Normies.
I don’t think my typo is going to make any difference on the subculture but thanks for thinking I’m that influential
@@alyssaraynit does matter, so stop being careless and lazy. It's a good thing there are intelligent Goth RUclipsrs such as Angela Benedict.
@@Anonymous-wb3nz yeah cuz I’m sure you have never made a simply mistake in your life like a typo. There are goths who are abusers and r$pists who make the community look bad not my single typo.
It doesn't matter. You're just throwing a tantrum over something so trivial and it's quite embarrassing to watch.
Womp womp
It's spelled "cancel". Goths pride themselves in being well read and educated, so check your spelling before making a video. It makes the rest of the subculture look ignorant.
I make a whole subculture look ignorant because I had a single typo? That’s a bit of a stretch don’t ya think
@@alyssarayn act like you give a crap.
@@alyssaraynanon isn't wrong. That is embarrassing, and it does make other Goths look ignorant to outsiders.....
You getting offended over something so dumb and so small is ignorant. Worry about something that ACTUALLY matters.
Oh, if only I could like this video twice... 🥲
