In this video I hatched 1,000 mosquito eggs, and raised 100+ into adult mosquitoes. And yea then I basically did tons of fun experiments with them, the video was fire 🔥

15:17 the reason they aren't interested is because certain species are tailored to specific animal types. I thought all mosquitoes were basically vampires out for blood but it turns out some are generalists that will attack anything with blood & some are picky and prefer certain animals.

Main reason is because they dont even see it as a source of blood, it does not produce CO2 or is like animal at all.

The reason why those mosquitos don’t really attracted to blood is likely because they don’t drink blood for survival. They do need blood when they lay eggs and only female mosquito will bite for blood.

Insects by instinct try to keep their Backs towards the Sun, it helps them navigate, and it causes them to constantly swirl around lightbulbs because they keep having to turn around to keep it to their backs, unaware it's not the sun. Perhaps the larvae have the same thing, keep their back to the light.
