I'm glad the Councillor doesn't just talk about the "survival of Wigan " at this level or an acceptance of this is where we most belong in league terms, like some negative people have posted in the past prior to Whelan's selling up, but fair do's ", instead, seems positive about the growing Club and appears ambitious, albeit "realistically".
NEW OWNERS should from their own prospective understand what they can and can't do realistically, but at the same time is normal to be Ambitious withing their own financial framework, year on year. Bhariani's are certainly not idiots, when it comes to making money and making things happen.
What never got mentioned were the new idea's, the new owners appear to have, so maybe the council don't know yet, however they have employed the services of Mal Brannigan, the football ‘brains’ on the club’s proposed new board, which this personally gives me, a very feel good factor in relation to the Clubs future, and its looking very bright indeed. Things sometimes happen for a reason, and though it seemed a kick in the teeth at the time, I'm glad the Spanish bid failed, and these guys came back and had another look.
I would also, remind him though, the Council have a 15% interest

Just to add, young Jay has done a lot of work with Admins, players, which over the past few months has provided many plus positives and of course life's negatives along the way, often unavoidable, during Administration, also during what I call a scamdemic lol, His work with mental health awareness is also very commendable. However, I hope for a great future for Jay and I hope someone offers the lad a good job in Journalism, or even a job at the Stadium.
