Glad you liked it. One change since I filmed this, the latrines have been removed from the camp areas. They were rough, but now you'll need to dig your own hole.

@@christyj24 Camp 2 is basically the far end, so yes, I made it to the end and back. Take care!

Nice video! I frequently hike EF and think the trails are great. Their published trails are found on many apps which is helpful if you need to cut the hike short. You have cell service in all areas of the park. Thunbs up, great park for hiking.

The pit toilets are gone from camp 2 as well as the older shelter. The larger shelter just got a new roof and paint thanks to ODNR and volunteers from the Buckeye Trail. Thanks for the video.

Thanks for making this video! Super helpful to know what to expect as we look at trails to take our dog on his first backpacking trip.

Some friends and myself are planning a couple of backpacking trips out to EF this spring so this video is a great help on getting an idea of what we're in for and how well it's maintained. Really enjoyed it.

Nice video, sure to be a help for folks curious about getting out there...EF trails can be very confusing. I hike there all de time and appreciate its local value, but it could really shine with more TLC from ODNR. I'm sure you walked past the nice piney unmarked campsite just before the powerlines...a great spot.

Glad you liked it. You are right that a little more care would make a big difference. I didn't mention them, but there's a couple nice "stealth" campsites on the route.

Was going to ask if it was part of the Buckeye Trail, but you already answered that! LOL

that trail certainly looks well marked and maintained. latrines could use some help... but that's what primitive means right?

Hey thanks for this video! Considering hiking this trail with some friends later this spring. Any chance you remember how many hours it took you? Thanks again!

Thanks for watching it. I don't remember exactly how long it took, but I'd say I was around 2 mph or slightly faster. That puts you at around 4 hours to Camp #2 or 7 1/2 - 8 hours for the entire trail. Have fun!
