10 years ago, my brother gave me a spider man game for my psp, however, when i opened the box (which was sealed btw) there was instead an UMD saying "Syphon Filter: Dark Mirror". Back then, i didnt know what Syphon Filter was, so this game was my introduction to this magnificent saga. Im thankful even to this day to that someone or something who mistakenly (or not) put the Dark Mirror UMD instead of the Spider Man UMD.

it definitely deserves both a new game and remakes/remasters of the existing 6....unfortunately Sony doesn't seem to give a damn about most of their classic 1st party IPs anymore 😓
@@GameBoyyearsago Slavemulators sucks this is why: 1. Optimization is bad even on powerful pc (i know it by myself). 2. You need setting every game. 3. You will have graphics problem even this guy have lights problems that seen from all map. 4. Not all games work. 5. Controls sucks. Buy real console don't waste your nerves.
I had a dope idea for a sequel when the Vita came out where he survives the gunshot and is rushed to the hospital. It would've been a stretch after the ending of Logan's Shadow, but the assassination attempt at the end would've been part of a bigger plan. The first level would've had Lian rescuing him from the hospital when men are sent to finish the job and you have to fight your way out with a hobbled Logan, showing off the new tech and physics with bullets whizzing by knocking papers off tables into the air and glass breaking windows breaking around you as Logan stumbles and shoots his way out with Lian covering him, they hop into a car and then have to fend off a few more cars before getting away. Then Logan and squad would've had to fly completely under the radar without some of their usual resources until they get to the root of the situation and stop them. Not that it matter, but obviously I was pretty passionate about the idea back then.
one of my first, if not first, multiplayer game. I remember loitering in lobbies to get 8 people for desert, the high ground spawns for the MGL and M82 BFG you had to zipline down from. Playing shanty town and doing the target lock glitch by returning the controls back to default while running the dual sawed off shotguns. They're foggy memories but watching this brought them back vividly.
Damn I used to play this so much but i didn’t know how to go to the next mission so I was just stuck on one mission but I kept playing it over and over again and it was still hella fun.
This is my first game i played when i was a child, i played it in my PS2 which i bought it in 2007.I play it like long hours to complete every mission. Unfortunately, my PS2's broken now and i can't play it again but i still have the CD of the game. It's an amazing third-person shooter...
Sadly all ps2 versions are censored (which is why it's a teen rating). Some psp versions are too. It's a really big difference too, pretty much no blood, final cutscene where Logan kicks singularity into the train is replaced with singularity pulling a gun on Logan, so Logan rolls towards him and shoots him (it looks really stupid) And a bunch of other changes too. The psp/ rated M version is way better.
@@madmagic228 the European version of Dark Mirror is still M rated. Blood is present. But no splatter. Blake can't be killed. Nor is the Rescue portion hard timer was removed And the fight with Singularity/SkullFace ending Censored
Outside of the original PlayStation trilogy, this is the best one, way better than Logan's shadow, LS took out so many signature mechanics and things that truly gave it a personality of its own, such as lighting your enemies on fire with a taser, and the storyline was not good, even though I admit that the storyline was getting pretty depressing starting from dark mirror, LS was such a disappointment compared to DM, it didn't matter if it was more the same, the gameplay was still awesome. I think I played and beat DM many times, whereas I only played and beat LS several times and just went back to dark mirror for the ultimate syphon filter experience. Definitely a tragic end to a beloved series!
Great walkthrough. The end is sad. But I knew that girl was his daughter! I had a feeling Gabe and Addison had something going on before she even mentioned she had a daughter. When Gabe mentioned the blanket she still had, I was like: “How do you remember a blanket she had? Did you go to her place or something? What have you been doing Logan? ;)” lol Then when I saw her daughter, she did not look 10 years old to me. When the little girl finally said that she was 12 at the end, I screamed: “I KNEW IT!!!” Still a sad ending though. At least he got to meet his daughter and ultimately save her.
I remember the big Christmas where everyone got COD Modern Warfare 3. Well, I still had PS2.... and I had this game sitting around for a month and hadn’t played it. So while everyone was MW3 crazed, this game became my own personal thing. I believe it took me a solid week give or take to complete this game. I was a huge fan of the first 3 games. I used to rent the first two when they came out and the 3rd I bought. This game was outstanding. Really sad this series discontinued. COVID-19 has me thinking back on these games.
I remember buying the UMD of this game months before I actually acquired my own PSP just because my friends said that it was one of the most definitive spy/action games ever made. And while it does not compare to Syphon Filter 1 & 2 and it's definitely no Metal Gear/Splinter Cell level adventure, it does hold it's own as an absolutely amazing game with a gripping, emotional story and is overall technical handheld masterpiece.
I only played 1,2,3 and another I forget the name they were my childhood games I never played mirror just downloaded tonight gonna give it a try can’t wait hope it holds up to the older ones
I always believed this franchise suffered from poor naming. Syphon sounds like part from a toilet's flushing system. So in my mind, it felt like Toilet Filter!
