Hi Jamie, thank you for sharing this video! I am a big amiga fan since the 90s. anyway, i had a quick question, when you chose your kickstart rom version A1200, did you choose this one because it will run any games from previsous amigas? like if i have games from the 500 or 600, will this kickstart rom run those games? (hope my question makes sense)
Great well explained video as usual. Can you please make Video explaining how to get this running on a Steam Deck OLED. I have got it working to a fashion, following your video and Chris's. The screen is side ways and there is some graphic corruption. I named the Kick Rom as per your video but it couldn't find the kick rom, Chris says name to Kick.ROM and you may need a Key.Rom (using Kick Roms named differently), will this cause problems? I used both methods and I got it working but it's not usable on the SD OLED. Thank you.
Any idea what kind of laptop would be powerful enough to run this or would a potato be good enough? I'd like to have a laptop just for this rather than using my overpowered desktop.
@@JustJamie1983 I'll try it on the really old ones I have and see how that goes before I splash out. It should give me an idea of any upgrade I might need.
Thanks for the explanation video! So what I understand you can't have raspeberry using it just as an accelerator in a real amiga 1200 using workbech 3.1, is that correct?
@@JustJamie1983 Let's say that I want to run original workbench OS 3.1 or 3.2.2 on 1200 and not the emulated OS but using Pi as an accelerator. Can this be done?

Actually the readme states kick.rom for the file name. Hence your errors on your rpi
Please ignore that part of the setup.
Also congratulations on this new version. It's awesome!
@@JustJamie1983 Indeed
Pretty cool set up :)
It really is. Highly recommend this.
@@JustJamie1983 Hi i just installed it on my raspberry pi 4 and im stuck on the logo 3.1 with the diskette
why?
@Evilslayer73 did you add a KS Rom?

I found that the kickstart rom plays every game I have used.
Why I can't start AGS and MEGAags from menu (Fn+F2/Configurations), it restarts to the pimiga desktop again?
Hey there. I haven't had this issue so cannot answer sorry. Did it flash 100%? Can you access Amiberry like in the video?
When this happened I discovered I used the wrong kickstart rom. Make sure its 3.1 A1200 rom.
Yes, you are right, I changed the file (kickstart rom) and now it's working. I am so happy and it brings so many happy memories.@@digriz602
I solved it. I changed kickstart rom and it's working now.
@damirselimovic8575 ah wicked. Thanks for letting us know.

Hey there. I won't be doing that at the moment sorry but in the future for sure.

Nothing overboard. Remember. A Mini Amiga can power this too.

I'm not sure what you mean?
@@JustJamie1983 Thanks for the reply! I mean that is not workbench but an emulated os that runs from Pi, am I correct?
@telonio9 yup, that's right.

Yes it can be to some extent. But you might need clarification on this as I don't use a real Amiga.
How do you get wifi working? Sorry if you already posted in your video.
Go to the WiFi settings on the desktop.
@@JustJamie1983 I do not see any wifi settings on the desktop. Perhaps it does not recognize the device? Thank you for t he response BTW.
@digriz602 No. It should connect to WiFi for sure.
@@JustJamie1983 I found it on the actual 'desktop' for the OS running the emulator. Thank you so much! The readme wasn't much help. You were.
Guys, can this system also be installed on RPi 5?
You can check the website for Rpi 5 support.

@parowkowyskrytozerca77 hey there. You need to locate a 3.1 kickstart file and rename it to:
kick31a1200.rom
The setup is almost the same as WinUAE setup
Yup, kinda.
Times 86? Good grief! 🤣🤣
Nope. 40
