There is the way I like this song, because I live in Makindye and always move abroad for work and I leave my fiance. continue rest in peace my legend Philly Bongole Lutaaya
Philly Bongoley Lutaaya left a big music legacy that may never be equalled, sublime production, music was done 35+ years ago but you feel the quality is top notch, music done with purpose.
I listened to this 18 years ago but I have listened it today and it sounds like it was produced yesterday. OMG!!!! no one can be like you philly I swear yo still at our hearts.Uganda's favourite then, today and forever.
His originality made him so unique. Today's musicians are just abusing each other and struggling to be on top....R.I.P Philly. Your music was/is class apart.

RIP I dont know if there will be anybody who can step in your shoes Philly my prayers are with you so that you have enternal life, God bless. Ziwambaza.
Ogumide binji, enaku nobwavu omukwano ogwafe guli fa bukade....ndi muja wa omukazi asinga gwe mama? You've been patient through a lot, suffering and poverty, our love will die old, where would I ever find a woman who's better than you mama?
When I was growing up guys used to say Hanifah omulo go but when I became ten yrs I had that song thats when I came to learn they were referring to that song.
What made Philly so unique is the great and meaningful lyrics,as well the speed in which he composed his songs,i was told by some one who worked with him on the Alone 1 and 2 albulms,he could compose a song(words and beats) in anhour or two,u r a legend Philly!!!!!!
RIP Philly your lyrics are the best, alot of meaning, and god bless you for sending the message to all around the world, your music brings nothing but love in my heart love Zaituni from Denmark.
My icon Philly rest in peace......I run as a 9year old to see you at national theatre but missed you back in 1989....most importantly I heeded your advice and are HIV free now.To your children keep daddy's banner up. we his fans want to meet you some day..
Thanks for posting this gem of a song. So much emotion in it, word by word strikes you right at the core of your heart, caught me out so often (sepceially the first part .."-maga maga simulaba/ munonya sekunonya.. etc {I'm wildly looking around, can't see her: . / i'm searching for her like beyond searching.}.(hope someone translates it all as I 'm too hopeless). What brilliant musicianship. Philly RIP
I have seen everything about this great musician. He's the greatest of all we've ever had in Uganda. But you know what?i have never seen the mother of Philly's children! She's no where in the picture.Only her children and the great Lutaaya, where did she g?can Tezzy tell us the fact?
She was Agnes Nsuzi she passed away in 1995, They seperated with Philly when the kids were still young he raised his own children with the help of his sister.
I totally agree! But I think for him,he was the best ugandan composer, arranger and probably singer of his time. This guy died 30yrs ago but his music sounds present !
Timeless music, Thanks to everyone who puts up Such music, may the legend's soul continue resting in peace
