Paladin is good as long as he can set the pace. Chris's relentless rush down takes a lot of skill, since Ryu has so much stopping power. Paladin didn't have time to think.
I think it's a reaction thing when they get caught off guard with DI. For me, it's easier to react with parry (mp+mk) than doing it with DI (hp+hk), sometimes this happens to me.
@@UserX03 I don't think it's youtube, it's probably very slightly sped up in the SF6 replay because everything (music, background animations) are all normal speed except the character movements.
The way I see it Ryu is the street fighter flex character, similar to picking depraved in Souls games if you can do well with Ryu it means you’re really good at the game, understand all the mechanics and know match ups on a very high level

0:11 why parry instead of go for a counter DI? Top players do this all the time and I can’t see why. It’s not for position in this case
