Well firstly they think he’s a Connor wannabe because they don’t understand Dublin ppl have a particular way of talking beyond accents ,, it would be like saying any guy who talks like a new Yorker is copying Paulie malanagi, but Garry didnt help the fact by glazing Connor every chance he got, then his wife is a clout chaser and he also tried to paint Neil magney as an abusive farther while trying to shame him in a press conference, these are the reason people dislike him. The hate on Ian Garry is getting kind of lame and not really funny. Sure he came off as kind of cocky in past interviews but are we supposed to pretend like that is not normal for an ambitious fighter? And then all the shit with his wife, it is a weird situation but again it's none of anyone's business and he does have the right to be pissed at people mocking his family. Sean O'Malley actually admitted to his wife sleeping with other men, with Ian Garry there is 0 evidence he is a cuck it's just tall poppies syndrome and weak MMA fans picking on him because they think he's an easy target.
From what I've seen he seems to not let any of it get him down and he has just pushed forward and taken dangerous fights. He isn't the most dominant fighter but very technical and talented and realistically I don't think he's actually such a bad guy. Just someone that people found it easy to clown on. Whether he wins or loses this fight he is likely going to be one of the most dangerous fighters at the top of welterweight for a long time to come. Glad to see there is some shift in how people view him, I like both him and Shavkat and I'm just interested to see how such a high level fight goes down.

Shavkat broke Geoff? Shavkat got rocked multiple times standing in front of Geoff and choked him out in the 3rd round. Ian decided not to stand in front of him and won the fight. The Neil Magny fight though, you cannot in any scenario say Shavkat’s win is better. Ian DOMINATED and I mean absolutely dismantled Neil for 3 rounds earning a 30-24.

Yet, Ian has accomplished quite literally nothing but decisions, earned by way of running.
It ends with Shavkat. He will knock-out Ian or submit him within two rounds imo.
